  It might end up costing you a fair bit more than you bargained for… NZ is starting to stop people with student loans from leaving the country without a repayment plan in place.

      lol. i read that comment and immediately thought about the whirlpool discussion of people getting a HECS debt and then leaving the country and the Aus govt. doesn't make you pay it. I was too distracted to realise that comment about NZ student loans don't have much relevance here.

  Well if u leave the country there little to be done…most people would kill to get in Australia so its not much of a problem..

  Great deal but geez it must feel sleazy working for Jetstar

  15% credit card fee nicely all the way at the end of the long painful purchasing process
  $4 to choose seats each person
  $6 for "priority" entry on to the plane
  $$ just to get leg room or front seats

  Luckily my cc provides travel insurance partly justifying the $58 fee I incurred.

  Great deal, $207 per person (we will take 1 bag for 2 of us)

  Got terrible flight times though.

  I looked back at my same trip in 2009 and we paid $355 for 2 people. Only $10 to use our Amex.
