Managed to get Officeworks to price match the 256gb iPhone XS Space Grey over the phone. Price with match was 1507.65, getting delivered to store for pickup tomorrow!
Was also successful doing the same deal via phone

@impoze: Cheers, took two goes but got it for delivery. First one checked delivery (she noted not available ro Melb) and the model number is different on the $508 one to the current one), went to check with a colleague, so i hung up & re-tried. No probs next time.

Cheers, got the 16GB wifi version down to $386.65 ($407 at RT) with OW price match. Haven’t seen it that cheap ever (been keeping an eye on the price for 6 months at least). Just disappointed my staff discount didn’t work for an extra 5% off

@David76: call the Officeworks 1300 number, and say you want to do a price match order.
Give them the RT Site, and they'll check the models etc and process the order for a store pickup. You can tell them which store.
@impoze: Instead of calling, would I get away with printing out the receipt that was posted here, and taking it to the store for them to give the same discount to me?

yeah that's the 6th generation. Apple devices get regular updates so it should be good for next few years in terms of getting new apps and such. Given that your Kid will need it next year, you are better off waiting - Apple usually release new versions in March and the last year versions will drop in price ( not much though). If you intend on buying , try office works, they'll beat the price by 5%

Had some trouble getting Officeworks to match based on “closing down” and “backorder”. I’ll try again tomorrow!I got it first try, some of the other comments here got it on the second and third attempts
Just called 1300 number x4 and straight away keep getting this from different operators: “I’m sorry we don’t price match RT EDWARDS, that’s a liquidation site”

Tried to price match, got rejected just by saying the website name. I then tried to go buy it from the store itself, and they don't deliver.
I guess I'll wait another few months for EOFY :(Try again by calling OW 1300 number. I got rejected with my 1st attempt this morning but then was successful to grab 2 the 2nd time. Collected 2 hours later from local store.
