You can get a refund of the joining fee any time during the 12 months if you aren’t satisfied. I’ve found enough value to pay for the next 12 months.
me too my tyres alone were worth it saved over $300 compared to what others were charging for the same tyre…I think costco at least from my experience is better value than amazon prime
If you live close to one it's worth the membership just so that you can fill petrol there. I regularly save $0.20-$0.40/L by filling up at my local Costco.

@lunchbox99: Nope, as I'm sure others can confirm, there have certainly been servos with bowsers I couldn't reach the other side with. And I drive a Camry…
@cathole: I have never found a servo where the hose isn't either a) long enough, or b) on a retractable extender. Literally not once and I have been driving for 30 years.
I love that most people don't know this because I can always use a bowser on the opposite side while other people join a queue of 6 cars to wait for a specific side.
Yeah, fill up a tank roughly 2 to 6 times, depending on capacity and price, and you've already made your membership money back. I think most people would go to costco more than once a quarter regardless of how far they lived.

Cheap hoyts tickets are with Optus. Buy a $2 prepaid sim and join optus if your nearest movies is a Hoyts.
I saw the Hoyts ones last time I was at Costco. Not sure about the Saturday night restriction on Hoyts, but the Event Cinemas Gold Class don't have the friday/saturday restriction. Will check next time I am there if you like?

A bit off topic but fuel and tyres have had a mention.. When was the last time they stocked the low aluminum car jacks? They never have them when I go in and are never in the catalogues when i check.
My cousin got 5x$50 gift cards as that was apparently the max you could get. He didn’t check to see if it was per visit or per membership though. Anyone else manage to purchase more using the same Costco membership? I was not sure if Costco was smart enough to note that his account already purchased 5 cards already and then not give the discount at the register.
From memory it's maximum 5 per member per promo.

I just checked the current coupon sheet, and there is no longer any mention of a limit. Looks like they got rid of it, as per your examples.
I got $50 itunes card and they charged me regular price ($44.99) on Saturday. Ignorant, huh, I was. Noticed later. Now would call Costco to get that difference.
