10% off $120 Spend on Eligible Items on eBay App

Something a bit different - looks like the same 10% of selected items only you need to use the App

Terms & conditions

Acceptance. By using or attempting to use the redemption code for this offer, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
Offer Period. This offer commences at 10.00 (AEST) on 20th May 2019 and ends at 23.59 (AEST) on 26th May 2019 (“Offer Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time.
Conditions. The offer entitles you to 10% off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) on all Eligible Items listed on www.ebay.com.au when you spend $120 or more in one transaction on the eBay app during the Offer Period, up to a maximum discount of $200 per transaction. Multiple items may be purchased in one transaction (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction). All monetary amounts specified in these terms and conditions are in Australian dollars (AUD).
‘Eligible Items’ means all items listed on eBay.com.au where these terms and conditions are found and the coupon redemption code POCKET10 is displayed in the item listing.
Redemption. To redeem this offer during the Offer Period, enter the redemption code POCKET10 into the redemption code box on the eBay app during the checkout process. This code cannot be used in conjunction with any other eBay offer, coupon or voucher. You can only use the redemption code one time during the Offer Period. The code is provided to you as an eBay User and the limitations on its usage apply on that basis even though you may have registered a number of different eBay User IDs.
Exclusions. eBay users who have previously used the redemption code POCKET10 in a transaction are not eligible for the promotion.
eBay rights. Without limiting other remedies and in addition to eBay’s rights under the User Agreement, eBay reserves the right to disallow or reverse a discount or prohibit access to this offer in circumstances where eBay believes:
you have provided false information, conspired with others to gain an unfair advantage or have otherwise been involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this offer;
a sale or purchase of any item as part of this offer has not been made in good faith, including where eBay considers that the buyer and seller may be related parties (such as family members or parties sharing the same dwelling); or
buyers or sellers have engaged in collusive conduct or any other conduct which eBay considers unfair, fraudulent or untoward.
Active. You must be an eBay.com.au registered member with an active account at the time of redemption (not suspended nor made inactive by eBay).
Shipping. Items will only be shipped to addresses within Australia.
Returns. If you return or seek a refund on any item purchased using this discount, the value of the discount will not be refunded to you.
No withdrawal. This offer cannot be withdrawn into your bank account and cannot be transferred.
Stock. Sellers are responsible for their own stock and eBay does not guarantee the availability of stock. This offer is only available while stock lasts.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, eBay will not be responsible for any loss incurred by you in redeeming or attempting to redeem the offer or for any costs, damages, accident, delay, injury, loss, expense, or inconvenience that may arise in connection with the use of the offer.
Changes. eBay reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of the offer at its reasonable discretion by publishing revised terms on ebay.com.au.
Jurisdiction. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state of New South Wales.

  • Here we go again.

Have a + anyhow for your efforts..

  • I don't know what these apps do that the website does not that causes companies to push them so hard.

Unless it's cashrewards or shopback I do not need an app to shop.

    • But how will you get daily notifications of sales and specials if you don't take their app?!

    • +11 votes

The app probably has permissions that allows them access to your microphone, camera, location all the time (what stores you visit), your browsing history, phone book/call history, what type of phone you own.

      • You forgot direct access to bank transactions and account balances :)

        • When I login with Paypal to pay for anything it keeps asking to "save details" or "maybe later".
How about, "stop f**king asking me" as an option? >:(

      • This is what I'm wondering.

I mean, there's permissions. You can see what those are.
There's notifications, you can block them (at least on LG it's actually quite detailed what you can block).

Maybe it's because, on average, people are plebs and don't know what they are doing

        • Most are plebs, but most big tech co's are underhanded enough to take advantage of non-plebs too.

A dirty example is when you are switched on enough to change your permissions, as soon as you update, the app has reset all your permissions and got the info they were after.

      • scary moments: have had random conversation with friends, picks up a word, then get a related ad in eBay or Gumtree.

reality: its just a machine with bunch of codes in the end that looks at it all. Already "sell" so much data to Google and Facebook.

  • Another spyware app! The deals on aliexpress are the same, even on a laptop you have to install their spyware plugin to get the deals.

  • Just make sure you avoid buying any dirt cheap Huawei phone.. As Google has stopped all support update and app store for the brand…

Will be interesting to see what will they do now.

I predict a new Chinese OS will be launching soon as they have already planned if there is an attack as such.

    The real trade wars begins

    • Google hasn't stopped it, TRUMP has. Google is merely complying with Trump.

It's important to choose your words carefully so that the true offender gets the bad rep.

      • and i thought it was all two separate issues. The government is concerned about the backend hardware, not about the end user mobile phone? Its kinda annoying that one person can effectively ruin the 2nd largest manufacturer? of phones.

Its even more annoying that I still have another 16 months on my Huawei contract!

        • Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross said that President Trump backed the decision and the targeted export ban will "prevent American technology from being used by foreign-owned entities in ways that potentially undermine U.S. national security or foreign policy interests."

Do you believe it? That banning Huawei in the U.S. is not enough, and you need to ban software/hardware providers to take down Huawei in non-U.S. markets as well?

      • ….you should just take the news 12 hrs ago

    • Is there anything Google can actually do to stop them just fudging it?
Realistically you can root your phone and make it appear like a different model, for example you can install Sony exclusive apps on any Android phone through the playstore.
Couldn't Huawei just take android and gapps and apply modifications to make it appear like a Pixel phone when connecting to the play store?

Google apps are banned in China anyway, so this won't affect their internal market.

    • This is just another reason why I kept telling people never to buy a phone you can't root. Hauwei used to provide a boot unlock on request, but have since stopped and people should avoid all their phones for this reason.

    • Why are you ranting about a phone on an eBay deal?

  • Car parts look to be excluded again…

Or maybe just the items im trying to purchae are not eligble.

  • thanks so much just bought a logitech elite remote and it took $30 off

  • Will this work on item won in auction?

    4… no go on any….

  • FFS where was this last night when i was buying $125 item and looking for a 10% off purchases over $120 code grrrr

  • Didnt work on any of the items I was interested in.

  • looks to be working on the same listings that the previous 10%-15% discount (PHOENIX) worked on. Looks to be "trusted sellers/sellers with good feedback and recent sales" on buy now items. Stuff i sell is eligible, just a few bicycle parts i sell here and there.

  • As usual, doesn't work on car parts

  • Eligible items as in unwanted junks no one wants to buy from eBay?

  • Important part of the terms:

You can only use the redemption code one time during the Offer Period

  • Right EBay, how are we supposed to see this on the app?
