Great deals, keep them coming. If you can get me a 2080 i7 with 16gb ram with the 27 inch screen for around the $1500 mark, I'd be awfully tempted to drop some hard earned.

      Nothing is impossible, except this

        If you can get close…

      • +2

        You (profanity) Savage Luke

    • how about i5 ?

      • +1

i5 9400F should be about $100 more. We post tomorrow or Thurs. And 1660 systems

    • Looks like your dreams have been answered sorta, adding on top the 27 inch screen and 16gb of ram on this deal, it comes to $1950: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/459448

  • +1

Great deals as always. Can’t wait for my eBay system to ship.

  • Any 1660 or 16060ti deals planned? Missed the last one :C

    • +6

Yep, more deals coming. EOFYS should be big!

      • Nice, will def pick one up!

      • Well damn. I kind of want to wait for Ryzen 3xxxx but I suppose I could always purchase and upgrade that separately down the track once it's out. Should be AM4 compatible aye?

      • I'm keeping my powder keg dry. Better not disappoint.

  • +4

You're making it real hard to justify not getting a new pc.

    • +2

I certainly don't need 3rd pc. I am definitely not falling into another ozbargain trap…

  • I don’t think I need a new PC for Classic WoW, but these deals are making it hard.

    • +12

      Me and CSGO lol.

So I justified it by buying for my not even one-year-old daughter

  • When did you order. i brought 2 on the 14th no word on delivery yet

    • Yeah, I ordered on the 11th, estimated delivery through startrack said it should be on the 20th. Hopefully it comes by in the morning since it's been 7 business days now

  • +1

    .
Next Monday AMD 3000 series released any idea of availability & prices ?

  • I ordered a lower spec one last week for my wife, it arrived in 5 days but had a faulty GPU :| phoned customer service and they sent out one to me, it arrived the next day and all good!

    • Do you need to send the faulty one back?

      • Yes, they just save you the hassle of dealing with the RMA process with the AIB by doing it themselves.

      • +1

yeah they sent a pre paid satchel to return it in!

    • just ordered one, what steps did you do to check if the parts are all correct? how do I go installing windows on it? first time buying a pc of this price

  • Thanks, just ordered one with upgraded RAM and a 2TB HDD. How long does it usually take to build them and send them off?

    • +1

About 7 days mate. Thanks for the order!

    • got mine in 5 working days

      • Ordered mine (my sons) 10 days ago, haven't received any shipping information so I assume not built yet.

I have emailed this morning to see if I can get and update… currently waiting on a response.

A great deal for a PC, but you obviously have to compromise in some areas to take advantage of the other areas

  • +2

Patiently waiting for a killer photo/video editing workstation deal since last year

    something like i7/32gb/1660

    • +4

why i7? ryzen does better with that kind of work.

      • Even in Adobe programs? I use PS, illustrator and Premiere mainly. Always thought intel+nvidia was the way to go

        • +2

PS and Illustrator may very slightly benefit intel at the moment, but you wouldn't notice any difference. Premiere on the other hand ryzen should dominate due to more threads/cores

          • @Unrvl: Do any benchmarks actually support this? From what I’ve seen, Ryzen consistently performs slightly worse than Intel CPUs across pretty much all tasks, despite a higher CPU count. I thought it was the single core clock speed deficit, but it seems that even if you boost an R5 to 4.2ghz bass clock, it still only matches most mid range Intel CPUs across a host of applications, while using more power.

I've had my techfast PC a few months now. After a fast resolved issue it had been a great machine. Very happy with my purchase.

    • +1

What issue did you have? How long was it resolved in?

      • Wrong game codes. Resolved in hours
Wrong motherboard. Resolved in a week

  • Man I'm so close to buying one of these deals. I get a new pc about every 4 years and I'm current at 3 years 11 months.. I just worry about what people say about the generic psu etc because I'm not confident enough to replace parts myself :/

    • Don't be worried. All you need to do is unscrew it, unplug and swap. Extremely easy.

  • What type of 2080 are we looking at here? Also how many days for delivery?

    • +1

Galax 2080 more then likely. Build to dispatch is around 7 days at the moment

      • Probably a naive question but a blower or non-blower?

  • +1

Do we know what RAM speed is included in the Techfast PCs? (Or if it varies between the different builds on sale recently)? Someone mentioned 2400 in a thread but I was wondering (and mine hasn’t arrived yet from last weeks eBay Phoenix sale).

Ps welcome back Luke. I have a newborn daughter (1 month to be precise) and I can only dream of how nice it must be to be able to take them on holiday. My record currently is 100m up the street to a cafe.

    • I have ordered 2x ryzen 2600 / RX 580 setups and both came with 2666 gskill ram

    • +5

We're mostly getting 2666 these days but occasionally 2400 so we list 2400.

Babies, it gets easier. Pram's never worked for us. Look into baby carrying, keeps hands free and them secure. We have a Tula.

      Toddlers, different story.

Travelling is easy enough with one, because there's only one. Travelling with a toddler is…difficult to recommend.

Hi Luke, if you can manage a deal with Rtx 2080 ti later, I'll be very gladful :)

  • Are people worried about TechFast being around for years, in case a warranty is needed in the future?

  • What keyboard and mouse comes with the bundle?

    • It's a standard wired membrane keyboard and mouse.

  • Hi Luke - Sent you a PM regarding an order :) Can you have a look. I would like 2

  • Hi. Luke. They're very nice deals!
Although I'm looking for more affordable one like Ryzen5 2600, RX570 or 580 around $600.
Is there any chance you can tell if there would be any plan for this?

    • Yep leave it with me for a post here soon!

  • Hey Luke, just wondering, does it come with a network adaptor? Or can it only be connected through a cable?

    • Mobo network standard but can add a USB WiFi for $19

      • So the USB WiFi is for turning it into a hotspot? And it can connect to the internet through WiFi without adding the USB WiFi?

        • It's a plugin USB device that allows connection to a wireless network. The motherboard doesn't have Wi-Fi built in like a laptop does.

          • @luketechfast: If I want to enable bluetooth connection too, what adaptor should I get? And is it available to buy from TechFast?

            • @pariah: We don't offer one and I wouldn't want to recommend one as I haven't experience in the area to recommend. I'm sure others will jump in here though. I would imagine that any reputable USB-powered Bluetooth Adapter would be fine though.

  • How long will this deal last for? just bought some parts for an upgrade but realised due to bottlenecking i may as well replace the whole thing and this works out cheaper even if I just wanna gut it for some parts.

    • Hard to say but it's selling well. Should be at least until next Tues.

  • Pretty keen for a 2600+2080 16GB RAM 350M combo. Rest of the parts I would probably butcher from my old build.

Do you guys have any faster RAM speeds available or just the 2400?

    • Just the 2400, but could possibly be 2600 depending. So you'd have to get higher speeds yourself seperately.

    • +1

You can upgrade to them on the website. Don't think we'd do a separate build cheaper. Correct on RAM, just the one speed at present.

      • Hi Luke, Any chance you can flick us a reply? Just don't want to miss out on this sale. Thanks :)

      • Is there much chance you'll get anything faster since 2400 seems to be quite a bottleneck on these systems, and I think people would be willing to pay a little more to get a bit better. My system is currently waiting for something from one of your suppliers based on the eBay dialogue but it sounds like it'll have 2400 and I'll need to take it out and buy a new set/etc.

        • I haven't seen any 2400 come in for quite a while now. It's 2666 but we're not ready to advertise that just in case.

  • My six year old desktop is dead in the water and there's little I can salvage so looking at a new build… This is probably overkill for what I'd use it for but it's damn tempting at this price!

  • I made an account just to post this comment
will you have a similar deal next month Luke?
Cant afford until around june 5th lol
    Ill be praying every day

    • Hard to say! We'll keep doing the best deals possible but price fluctuations are almost inevitable.

      • +1

Thanks for the reply man, and thanks heaps for the deals.

        • Hey mate, Luke's made a post today, maybe take a look at that for tomorrow :)

It does have a similar deal, $1229! :D

  • Hey @luketechfast

Question about tracking… once the computer is built, that's when I first get notified of its progress correct? Then it can be tracked through the delivery system?

    • Once it's shipped, you'll get an email with the tracking number to trace through www.startrack.com.au

      • Ok thanks… my son is getting a letting stressed.

        • letting = little
