  • I have to spend over $140 for 4 weeks. I guess it varies depending on the person.

    • $100 just finished last week, now $110, guess Im gonna switch back to Woolies until they give me better offer

      • +2

My offer is $50 per week on a rarely used card.

    • Mine is $90. But last month they gave me a similar offer $50 for 4 weeks that I've completed already.

    Can you buy cigarettes

    • Nope

  • Have just received the email too.

  • Mine was $90 a week.

  • +7

My offer is $60 each week for 4 weeks.

I only just collected this, and now it's on again. In between they also sent me two 2000 points deals for spending $60.

Since the beginning of this month, I've collected $70 worth of rewards from Flybuys/Coles.

    • I've had the same lately. I spend the money anyway so it's great to have racked up so many points.

    • +1

Only once before I've had it stack.
      1000 on a $40 spend.
      2000 on a $50 spend.

      So 3000 points (or $15) on a $50 spend.

I never shop at Coles unless these good bonus points offers are targeted to me.

It's been a few months since I've had this, $50 for 4 weeks

  • +3

    Hmmm.. XXX spend.

    • +1

10000 points for buying xxx goods?

  • +7

70 for me, remember to spend just required amount, otherwise they will increase the amount next time.

    • Yep. I try and get as close as possible to that amount and not over

  • $160 for me

  • The one I just completed was $80 now is $120 for 10000

  • $90 for me

  • +1

Spend $110 a week for 4 weeks. Guess it's woolworths for the next month haha

  • +2

    Mines $180 :/

    • Hey big spender…..

      • does it turn you on ;)?

  • Mine is $80, I'm gonna pass this time.

Previous one was $60, great for topping up opal card.

    • +1

From which store u can topup opal?

    • Does Opal top-up work with Coles flybuys deal? I know Woolworths rewards doesn't..

      • +1

Yes but it won’t get you container credits

  • What do people spend their rewards on? More groceries? Petrol? Flights?

For me, I use these rewards to "buy" bargains on eBay.

    • +1

      Alcohol.

    • I use mine to get money off the next Coles purchase. I wouldn't bother if we were collecting points for other rewards.
I have 4x $120 spend, which is easy enough for me I guess. I do my basic shop then stock up on specials and spend the remainder on meat or other freezable items. I've saved a fair bit with both the Woolies and Coles bonus points.

  • $50 per week for me after not shopping at Coles for over a month.

  • I just checked mine. Spend $60 each week for 4 weeks for 10,000 bonus points :)

Last time it was spend $50 so not bad this time around :)

  • $50 target for me. I have hardly shopped at Coles in the last month.

  • Mine was $80

  • $130 p.w is the target here

  • +4

A trick that has worked for me to increase spending is to buy prepaid mobile recharge vouchers. Both my wife and I are on prepaid plans. So if the promotion says spend $90 for 4 weeks and our usual groceries come up to $60, I can pick up a prepaid voucher for $30 and use it when it's time to top up :)

    • I do the same when I need to make up the money. I'm surprised they haven't excluded them. If they ever do, I don't see myself doing these promos again unless they are sub $80.

    • Surprised phone credit is included.

  • Two $50 off for 4*50 spend offers back to back on the same account. On my partner's hardly used account the spend criteria of $80 hasn't gone down in 4 months. Their rewards algorithm is pretty dumb me thinks.

    • Yeah I don’t know what I ever did to woolies, but I never scan it and never get the deals posted here. Coles has been great to me

  • Mine was $260 per week. What a laugh. The next highest I have ever been offered is $70 per week.

The most I have ever spent at Coles in a single shop is about $90.

    • I got $250 per week. I just finished the last 4 week offer at $230 per week, and then I got an offer for a single shop of $260 for 3000 points.

      • Please tell me all your spend is through Coles egift cards for 5% off? That would save you more than $50 a month.

        • +1

          Yes absolutely!

I use both Coles and Woolworths gift cards at 5% discount. Whenever there is an offer at a higher rate I buy gift cards in bulk. My husband also gets free woolworths gift cards through an activity program at his work. So overall I save more than $50 per month.

        • Where to get Coles gift cards at 5% off??
Nothing through shopback or cash rewards?

          • +1

@Spending2Much: Suncorp Benefits. Need to be a Suncorp customer (can set up a free bank account easily), or an AAMI insurance customer also works.

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/451380

            • @endolphin: Signed up with Suncorp. So many other discount gift cards I warned aware of SCA/BCF/JB
Why did I not know this before….

          • +1

@Spending2Much: In addition to endolphin's reply, you can also buy coles gift cards at a 5% discount through AGL. I prefer Suncorp though.

  • What are some ideas to spend on when you don't really have anything to buy? Mine's $50/week.
Not on prepaid unfortunately and not in the city to do Opal top up…

    • We buy eggs in the 4th week for the following 2-3 weeks

    • +1

      Food? It is a supermarket.

I buy extra rice, pasta, tins which all last a very long time. I buy bread, milk, cheese every week.

Fruit and vegetables are vastly overpriced so I buy them elsewhere.

    • I bulk buy things I will always need in the future like shampoo and toothpaste.

    • You can do Coles top-up outside the city. South-west Sydney has two locations; use the Opal retailers list

    • Toilet paper, washing powder, cleaning products, etc. However, I usually buy these things if they are on special as well.

  • $300 for me..

  • $80 for 10,000. Better than my current flybuy weekly coupon though.

  • 60$ for me..

  • So weird, we have two cards in our household, one is barely used and the offer was for $130 spend per week, the other which is what the big shops are done on is for $120 over 4 weeks.

  • My target is $50 per week - second time in a row.

  • $310 for me. I win! 😢

    • -1

      Win?

Did they offer more than 10,000 points for that target?

  • $50 for me but I will be in Europe in 2 weeks time, so no use to me. I just managed to stack a single $50 shop with some dishwashing tablets, dishwashing liquid and paper towels for a total of 3,057 points. Not bad.

  • Just finished $50 x 4 for 10,000 points the other week and I've just got another one.

  • Mine was $50x4 too.

Woah, didn't know opal top up is eligible! I had these offers before and if I couldn't spend that much on groceries I just buy discounted pre paid sim. Didnt occur to me to opal top up are included. Thanks.

Question, so if was spend $50 per week offer, do you have to top up $50 or can you top up $30 and spend $20 on groceries?

  • +1

A quick one: I have $50 on my flybuys card from the previous promotion. And also have activated this new one which is $50 for 4 weeks. The questions is when I spend $50 and use the flybuys card, will this be considered eligible 1st week as $50 would have been paid by the $50 on my flybuys card?

    • +2

      Yes. Done it myself.

      • Thanks.

        • -1

I did the $50 today with Flybuys $50 offer from previous 4 weeks offer. And no it didn't count against the 1st week spend.

  • $210 a week - bite me Coles

  • i got $60 a week after just finishing $50/week promo.

my work colleague got $170 a week!

  • How do I get this offer??

    • They send you an email and offer it to you. They decide and you have no control.

  • Have a question
If redeem points for flybuy dollars
At self checkout do you just select card for payment and swipe flybuy card and pin - That easy
    Never used flybuy dolars before
    Thanks

    • I always pick the 10,000 points option, but I believe on your next shop when you spend over $50, you scan your flybuys and -$50 will come off your total and you pay the rest?

    • +3

It depends whether you chose 10000 Points or $50 Off Shop. For points, you need to redeem those points for FlyBuy Dollars online or via the app.
You scan your shopping, you go to pay as if you were paying by card. If your shopping is more than the FB Dollars you choose mixed payment, and enter the amount of FB Dollars you know you redeemed. You swipe your Flybuys card through the ATM machine, you put in the PIN you chose when you redeemed. It should say Approved just like a credit or debit card might.
It works exactly the same if you use your FB Dollars in Kmart or Target.

  • I save up my soda stream cylinders (have two spare) and exchange those usually around the last week of the promotion like this where I'm going to struggle to do a $50 spend.

  • If I need to spend $50 per week for 4 weeks and I have some 2000 flybuys points left. If I spend $50 but just pay $40 and use my 2000 points for the $10 off, will this offer be activated or not because I only technically paid $40?

    • No, you would have to do another $50 shop before the end of the week, because you only spent $40 (even though you got $50+ worth of groceries). You actually need to pay $50 or more in a transaction for it to be counted. You could scan through $60 worth of goods and take 2,000 points off and pay $50 and it would count though!

      • Thanks for confirming!

  • another $60/week for 10,000 just landed for me yesterday, only 3 weeks after the last one finished and 2 weeks after a $70 shop for 2,000 points bonus week.

So far I'm up to $239 in flybuys dollars, with this promo that will go to $289 and that is only from THIS year. Xmas feast is looking tasty this year.

  • Another 4 x $50 spend
    10k

Admittedly, each shop has been below $51.
