people don’t seem to care about who takes a hit on home delivery as long as they don’t have to go and get their food and they get what they want , why the moral dilemma all of a sudden ….
I'm going to guess for the standard offers that the restaurant participates in they do, but for the extra % off ones… not sure?
In my few experiences of using the app, the restaurant doesn't even look closely at the voucher. I'm not sure if you book, whether or not the restaurant receives the details and it then notifies them of what discount to apply? I have sent eatclub an email, we'll see.

I asked once and apparently the restaurant tales the hit coupon code and all. Not sure why you'd sign up to that to be honest

No one will read this but they cover the extra offers and have an arrangement for this with their restaurants.
Usually a bit of both.
From talking to one restaurant owner it seems the owner foots the bill. Could be different for these extra 5% coupons.

Yeah I don't think I'd eat at a place where the chef smokes and cooks at the same time.

You get what you pay for though…
1st - 35% discount, VERY slow food in an empty restaurant, we almost walked out
2nd - Refused the discount due to it being a public holiday, even though app said discount
3rd - Restaurant was closed, even though app said open and accepted our booking
Never had an issue here, always great service.
Had one instance where the restaurant was marked as open and we put a booking but it was cancelled. The next day an eat club employee personally called me to apologise and to offer a coupon for the trouble.
Have used it countless times, and honestly don't think we've had a bad experience.
I booked a dinner at a restaurant that was closed and they emailed and offered an extra 20% through reimbursement back to my bank account.
First rate service from EatClub. I will now keep using them and leaving positive feedback.

Same place? Always good for us. Last used this week. Public holiday thing varies.

…eat club allows an eatery to keep their staff busy in otherwise quiet situations, sometimes they get it wrong ….other option is staff do facebook and watch you tube and wait for a customer ….it’s flash sales for eateries as they get business off peak …..
