  • Since when? I literally made 3 purchases 2 hours ago and didn't notice this on the click through🤔🤔

    • +1

Looks like just after 1am. The bot didn't pick it up till now.

      • +7

        Wait is dealbot a realbot?

        • +1

From the answers, either dealbot passes the turing test, or is a human that was produced by a real life bot which is too busy scraping sites for deals to talk directly to all of us fleshy plebeians.

  • +1

Thanks bot, is there any expiry date ?
    How to use shopback referral?

Time to buy things which I don't need immediately, just to claim cashback :-)

    • Expires 11.59pm tonight.

    • Tell me too How to use shopback ?

      • +2

signup at shopback, then follow instructions

  • +8

We need a flash sale on soundpeats, stat.

    • DO I should disable adblocker ?

      • +2

        Yes

      • +1

Yes. I've had similar purchases approved with CR and not tracked with shopback with ad block on.

      • +1

        Just whitelist shopback.com.au

    • Will be disappointed if there isn't as I've been waiting for one for ages.

  • There's a few 5% off as prime savings at the moment. Will that stack?

I don't see it the promo on shopback.

    • +1

Interested to know if this works fine too. Looking to buy a Nintendo Switch which is $399 for prime members - can I get that and still get 12% off?

If so that plus the $5 sign up bonus would bring the total down to $346.12 which isn't bad!

      • It's 12% back, so you'd get this a while after ordering, so you'd still need to stump up the full $399 at order time.

        • Yep that's fine, I don't mind playing the long game! Ordered! :)

    • +2

It's an automatic discount so yes it would stack. T&Cs are more strict around coupon codes that are not listed on ShopBack.

      Cashback is not qualified for:

      • Purchases of gift cards and the usage promo codes or Voucher codes not approved by ShopBack
      • Mr ShopBack, where is the best place to request features of your [Firefox] extension?

I just want to request that there be a dropdown menu similar to CashRewards, where you can see the different categories and their % of cashback before enabling?

This is what it looks like if you were unaware as I don't have an easy way to tell what cashback I will get for whatever category. Happy to send in a feature request form if you guys have one.

As an exmple: I want to buy this belt. I have no idea what the cashback would be from you guys on it from the extension, but on Cashrewards, it's quite clearly 10% and I'd jut like to be able to compare without having to work out how to click on the Amazon button without accidentally activating the coupon. In this case, it looks like it's 12% for men's fashion - is that correct?

        Cheers,

        The Gent

        • The Gent - you can also PM me or email [email protected] with suggestions :)

Appreciate your feedback about the extension, fair call and thanks for raising this. I've actually just forwarded your feedback directly to our team that's looking after it.

For the belt you want to purchase, it's listed in Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Men > Accessories > Belts, so yes it would fall under a 12% cashback rate.

  • +1

Cashback is payable,no matter the seller? Or is this only items sold by Amazon AU?

    • Everything.

      • +1

so Amazon USA will provide me with a 12% rebate too?

        • No. Just AU. Read the T&C.

        • Only purchases on Amazon.com.au qualify.

    • +3

Any seller on Amazon.com.au is fine.

      • -1

        Hey,

So it's fine for items sold by Amazon US on amazon.com.au?

        • +1

          That's exactly what he said.

        • +1

Yes Amazon US items purchased via Amazon.com.au are fine.

  • +2

Will this be applicable to items purchased on Amazon US via AU website?

    • +1

      indeed

    • +3

      Yes.

      • if i bought something a couple of days ago can the cashback be modified?

        • Unfortunately no - this cashback offer is only for orders placed today.

          • @gotyourback: Just want to check; how long until the cashback shows up? I just bought an item and it didn't show up, did it not get recorded or will it just take a bit of time?
And will tracking work if Adblocker is on?

  • How does it work for replacements? I bought something via ShopBack. The product arrived faulty. I requested for an exchange, but Amazon cancelled my order, requested me to send the faulty one back, and made a new order for me. I doubt the new order will be eligible for ShopBack?

    • I believe the cash back will be cancelled. You will need to make a new order through shop back again on the same item to track.

    • +3

Talk to Amazon customer service. They credited me the value of a Cashback when this happened (It was a TV during the 20% Cashback crazy stuff). It's not a policy… but they're very helpful.

      • Good to know, I'll try, thanks!

      • +2

        Wow that's impressive of them

    • Your order would be reported back to us as cancelled, thus it wouldn't be eligible for cashback.

A new order is just like you placing a new order yourself - every time you place a new order you'd need to click through ShopBack. As such the new order wouldn't qualify for cashback either.

      • Do you have to reclick through shopback if using the extension?

Eg. Would this track as normal?
        1. I activate the extension for Amazon.
        2. I purchase an item.
        3. The extension still says active so I place a second order

        • Yes, the same thing applies if using the extension.

  • My purchases are not tracking =\

I usually get confirmation that my purchase has been tracked via the chrome extension.

I made test purchases making sure I click through the shopback link with adblocker disabled but I didn't get any confirmation or change in status on the extension.

    Anyone have success?

    • +1

Yeah i noticed, sometimes it does come after 2 days, check your click history…

Lastly you need to disable all addblockers, you can always use incognito if you're really concerned.

  • It's normally 12% for clothes isn't it?

(Just confirming as have had my eye on a belt for a while, but was waiting until it was on sale - if this is better cashback than normal, may have to pull the trigger).

  • Finally on everything! Great!

  • Is there a limit on number of transactions this will apply to?

    • No limit on transactions.

  • +1

Anyone know if buying an iPhone XS Max a good idea on Amazon AU?

Looks like it's sold from "myPhonez". Couldn't find much info on them.

    • Google reviews aren't stellar

      https://www.google.com/search?q=myphonez&cad=h#lrd=0x6b12bbfb3625de15:0x3a4261d53e631669,1,,,

I'd personally pay for a reputable store (not saying myphonez aren't).

Phones do have issues from time to time. If you're spending that kind of money, I'd want a physical store to go into.

      • +1

What I've realised is that it's probably not worth while anyways since the cashback is capped at $50.

  • Is it capped at $50 per order or account?

    • +3

      Capped at $50 per transaction.

  • +1

Is Shopback's pre-orders 90 days to be eligible? Similar to the other mob?

    • +2

Just read the T&C's. Works if pre-order ships within 60 days.

    • +1

Pre-orders would need to be shipped within 60 days.

      • Thanks. I've just spent another 10 mins hunting on the site for the wording, either I'm blind or it's not obvious :-)

  • Hmmm now the question becomes whether Cashrewards will match this but without a cap as they normally do

    • Well at least AmazonAU finally contending with eBay. I could only find more expensive stuff on Amazon previously even screen protectors etc.

  • Is this specifically for Amazon AU or applies to US? Im assuming its for AU only, but just confirming as I have a few items in the cart for US.

    • +1

Any seller on amazon.com.au. So it does include buying from Amazon US if bought on amazon.com.au. Just remember to add to the cart after clicking through from ShopBack. I found it's fine if you add to cart from "Save Later" or from a saved shopping list after clicking through.

  • Looking at buying a gopro hero 7 black that has a 5% prime discount added automatically at checkout. Does this affect cashback?

  • +15

Just a tip - if you buying multiple items, make sure you buy separately.

When Adidas had the 30% shopback sale, I bought 4 pairs of sneakers. Adidas refunded 1 pair because out of stock. Due to this I dint get the cashback which was over $60

  • Hmm. I bought 6 of those Romoss power banks last week. One order hasn't even been sent yet.

Will they pay out cashbacks on preorders?

    • You can provided they are shipped within 60 days.

      • Dang. That's no good.

I worked out the maths and thought it was cheaper buying from AU than US after cashback. Didn't know about the 60 days thing.

  • Can you get cashback on game pre-orders?

    • +1

Yes, but only on pre-orders for games within 60 days of release.

    • You can provided they are shipped within 60 days.

  • Is it worth buying the Sony WH1000xm3 headphones now? $395 with 12% cashback is $347.60. Not too bad. Anyone seen it much cheaper?

  • Is there a way to use this for kindle book purchases?
I can only see the single-click option, can't put it in cart.

  • cashback will work using gift card/voucher payment?

    • Has in the past so don't see why it wouldn't. Cant be used on the purchase of gift cards though.

    • Yes:

Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and as of 6th May 2019, is valid on orders paid for with gift cards

  • Nice - was waiting for a good time to buy CTR.

If anyone is after something small to bump up your order to over $49 (CTR PS4 is $48..), these micro usb to usb c converters are handy:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Adapter-GreatMarket-Convert-Connec…

  • @gotyourback
If we pay part of the amount with gift card, will the cashback still apply for the remaining that paid?

    • +2

Cashback now applies even if gift cards are used as a payment method.

Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and as of 6th May 2019, is valid on orders paid for with gift cards

      • Good to know - time to use the $30 gift card from that hdd price error :)

  • -1

I bought something last night with only 8% cashback. Any chance I could get that extra 4% cashback too?

    • Probably best sent in a PM. They might do it, night not, but definitely aren't going to make a precedent by agreeing to do so here dude.

    • Would love to but as ozbjunkie mentioned this would create a precedent for those who placed orders prior to today, so we'll have to only honour 12% for orders placed today.

  • Thanks op I see they have spark fm back at $579 after shopback https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B076Q4SV79?smid=ANEGB3WVEVKZB, long delivery but even cheaper for prime.

  • Updated app is crashtastic. 4 crashes for a simple one item purchase

    • And is it restarting itself in the background? I just got another crash after I swear I fully closed the app earlier. Nonono, this rubbish has to stop

  • Is this still valid OP?

  • +3

Hi how long does the cashback purchase take to appear? Hasn't appeared on my account since last night yet

    • Same, bought a QC35 if there is no tracking of shopback, I may return it.

  • I got most but not all the cashback. Did multiple transactions just in case

  • I bought stuff on 28th, can I get 12% cashback?

  • can you please bring on the Amazon 12% Cashback on All Categories again thanks.
