Is it any better than MiXplorer?
The preview images worryingly show obvious spelling mistakes …

      File transfert to PC

      Audios

They make the app look trustworthy

    • +1 for Mixplorer

and also an honourable mention for Total Commander
( which is a bit simple, but still has its use )

    Transfert is aword imsure

      It's a perfectly cromulent word.

      • cromulent 🤣👌👏👍

Gave it a look. X-Plore is way better (and also free & ad-free)

    • How does this compare to Files by Google? (also free)

      • It's a better file manager [IMHO], but it doesn't have the clean up functionality.

    • +2

X-plore may have no ads, but it does pester you to donate. Still my preferred file manager for Android though.

      • Really? All I have seen is the 'buy beer' button, which is really not that big a deal. I don't notice it or accidentally select it.

  • I have a samsung phone(S5). does this have a feature that samsung is missing?

    • +1

This will probably steal some of your information.

  • Any reason to switch to this over Solid Explorer?

    • No, this is a clone/fake app

What happened to ES File Explorer, isn't that the best one a couple years ago?

      • oh gawd… thanks for this link.
        Just uninstalled it… 😢

Google pulled them out of the app store since they were affiliated with DO Global that broke Google's T&Cs:
      https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/04/27/es-file-manager-van…

      • +2

Oh..didn't know that! Does it mean it's better to uninstall it?

        • +1

Well.. if you have the free one, then probably best to since there's many substantiated claims of malware. If you have the Pro version, then it should be fine to leave on.

          • @bchliu: I had the pro version. Firewall shows it also sends data to chinese servers.
            Delete that shit

    • Im still using the free version and nothing beats it atm.

Multi file rename, folder size display and sort, etc..

  • Ghost Commander has samba plugins to view the windows network. Free/ad-free

  • Is this one good for Android TV?

  • Buggy app. Trying to transfer only photos from SD to Internal, it just does not work.

  • Not a bad app for Free, but for me once buying Solid Explorer, I can never look back.
Have put this on a Tablet and will test it with CX FileEplorer, another cool free filemanager.

The moment I installed it to check if it is indeed pro, it disappointed me by making a request to advertising network. VOTING DOWN.

This looks like it is a copy of the ASUS File Manager which is free and had no ads.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asus.filem…

I would trust ASUS with my data instead of this clone app.

    • I trust you. the maker of the app is in Vietnam. not installing this app

  • I feel no shame when I admit that I use the built-in file manager on my LG G4.

I've tried many free file managers, but none of them offer any significant features that the built-in app doesn't have. Also, fewer apps means less bloat.

Cheap way to giving away your metadata.

It's so slow. Painfully slow and not legit. Would highly not recommend!

  • What's the best ES Explorer replacement that has all the same features (not Mixplorer, hate it) eg. Send files by LAN and root browser.

    • I also would like to know the answer to this.

    • Same question, ES Explorer was the only one I could get to connect to my Home Server via Wifi, no other 'android' apps connect (iPad works fine though.)
