Great spiel … you should be on the payroll :)

  • someone make an android app for this please!! lol
love taking a snapshot of the page and bringing in to the store, beats the catalogue flipping 100 to 1

Can't miss this blatant opportunity! You know MyGroceries.com.au runs fine on Android. Just make up your shopping list and take it to the store with you. You can cross off things too as you buy them. That's what I do! :)

  • The Vaalia Yoghurt for $3 isn't a bad buy.

  • folks..any feedback on dettol no touch system? i found that dettol refills are expensive..is it possible to use any other liquid handwash with this dispenser?

    • +3

I'm just gonna chuck this out there, but this is purely my opinion (I'm neither a scientist nor batman):

Germs are everywhere. Whether you touch the soap dispenser or not, the very next thing you touch (tap, door, child, towel, privates) are going to transfer germs back to your hands. Having 'germ-free' anything is an extremely rare and temporary state. Everything else is clever marketing designed to scare you into handing over your $.

Besides, hands are for touching stuff and your body fighting everyday germs prepares it for fighting the worse kind. The best health advice: resist touching your face so much. That's how they get in.

Again: do some research for yourself. Don't take financial and microbacterial advice from IT-employed lifesavers.

      • great post, to add to it, I believe using things like this encourages super bugs, problem is you get a small % which will build up an immunity to it and the others get whipped out… also you don't give your body to build up its natural immune to these types of things..

You can very carefully without breaking it pry the top off with a butter knife and refill with any handwash as long as it's the same consistency not too watery.

It uses a lot of hand wash but I find it handy in the kitchen when your hands might be covered in dough or chicken etc. There's instructions and a picture here for a similar product. This article says you should only refill it once but so far I've done it over 10 times with no issues. Obviously turn the sensor off before you start.

worst specials in a long time

  • I am trying out Woolies online delivery but finding that the specials on the shop online catalogue is different to the specials in their catalogue site? I put in the same postcode for both sites… is this normal?
