Do you know how long this sale price is expected to last?
I want to pick one up from Officeworks tomorrow or next week.

    • +3

Why not buy it from Amazon itself?

      • +1

Amazon Have to wait for 5% cashback, ow instant 5% off

    • does OWs price beat Amazon?

      • Yes, they calculate the price + shipping then price match. Even if you have prime, you gotta factor in what the delivery cost would be or else they won't match it.

        • thanks. the mate20s are good deals but OWs doesnt have them in stock to be pricebeated. :(

    • So wanted to get the Sony ones :(

    • I want midnight blue or pink haha… rip

    • +4

      Waiting for Sony WH-1000XM3… patiently…

      • +5

Every time there is an offer about headphones there is someone on posts 'waiting' for XM3 to drop their price. I saw them discounted at around 330$ and people were still 'waiting' until they go 300$.

It's funny because its been happening for a long time, meanwhile i bought them 6 months ago at 350$.

        Other people are still 'waiting'

        • +2

Might as well wait until they are discontinued.

    • +2

What is everyone using to connect these to the inflight entertainment?

      • -1

Most newer planes have a simple 3.5mm jack, instead of stereo channel. Unless you want full wireless.

        • +1

These have a cable? Thought they were bluetooth only.

          • +1

@thestig: They should come with a 2.5 to 3.5mm cable, but doesn’t have the volume control/microphone.

          • +2

@thestig: They come with a cable and the inflight adapter in the case. Or at least V1 did.
They are designed just as much for use on planes so having a cable makes sense.

        • Do you really think this really be any different to the ones they good out before flight?

      • AUX cable + converter

This, damn OzB detecting affiliates in my links earlier lol.

      • +2

You need to unplug the twin pin that comes with the free headphones from Qantas and then connect the Bose headphones jack to it. it works without any issues.

      • You can grab an airline adaptor from Ebay for a few dollars if you didn't want to get the official Bose ones.

      • +1

        Bluetooth on Emirates

    • Maybe they are clearing them out, since this is a duplicate and the price is still the same.
Also use cashback for further discount.

    • +3

Bose NCH 700s have been released. The new headphones are a step up.

      • +3

        They are also more expensive

        • Reasonable to assume it'll inevitably hit sub-$400 by year's end

          • @parcus: Maybe they can be like the Sony’s and hit $350 by first week, (looking for speed of sale, not price)

    • +1

Better to get new ones Bose NCH 700s once they are on sale.

    • +4

      Micro USB … No thanks.

      • -1

And on top of that, brand new model just got released

        • So?

          they much more expensive

      • +1

How many times have you said lol, get over it it’s a plug.

        • Exactly! Seems like he would only put his junk in USB C.

        • It's just that I no longer use Micro USB … Even if say a portable battery has Micro USB and USB-C, then I'm not buying the product. I own nothing with Micro USB.

          • @matt-ozb:

Even if say a portable battery has Micro USB and USB-C, then I'm not buying the product

So you want a product with less features?

            • -4

@spaceflight: Old school technology that I'll never use is not a feature. I put all my Micro USB cables in the bin.

    • +1

If only we had a 12% or 10% shopback deal to combo with.

  • +6

Pretty good price for mate20 pro

  • +2

best price for p30pro so far, thanks

  • White or green on the S10e, black is still $899

  • Bose NCH 700s have been released. The new headphones are a step up.

    • Beauty!

    • -1

Yes for the look. No for the touch control.

      • Touch control on the Sony is great .. this looks identical.

        • Nearly, but reviews I read said the Sony got false taps in cold weather, and Bose fixed it with this new design that didn't have that issue. I don't have any more specifics without researching harder

  • +2

Just checked with HN online and they reject to price match because Amazon is not one of their main competitors lol Good luck HN

    • +21

Don’t bother Hardly Normals, they are just waste of time. Their useless price beat guarantee promise statement is nothing but farce.

    • I reckon you should try again. I got them to price match Amazon on the QC35 last time but had to go through a few representatives

    • +3

      https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/retail/gerry-harvey…

      You can quote Gerry himself.

“If you want to buy something, you can come into the showroom, we will deliver it to you … and we will be competitive, come hell or high water,” Mr Harvey told 9news.

“If they’ve got a cheaper price we will match that price, and we will give them the service, delivery and after sales service and they will be a lot happier than if they dealt with Amazon.”

  • Is mate 20 getting future android update?

    • -8

Yes in the future which never comes

    • +14

Mate 20 Pro is back on the Google list of Q Beta now. The future is already here in some way

  • We ever getting the new One Plus phone?

    • Maybe in a year's time. They'll do what they did with the OP5; send over their excess stock, sell it at full RRP and call it a "soft launch". Honestly your better off buying a grey import than waiting for an official launch.

  • Are p20 / p30 getting android 10 when they say it doesnt affect existing phones?

    • +3

I don't think anything's guaranteed in that regard. Huawei doesn't seem a safe bet currently in regards to updates.

    • -2

my p20 pro only has Android 9

      • Yea, that's the latest. are you expecting beta software with Android q?

  • Will JB Hi-Fi price match? Could go with the $500 gift card deal…

    • According to that post the $500 gift card deal only applies to phones >$999, so price matching might make the deal invalid.

      • You could get the Note 9 or S10 instead with $500 gift card.

  • +2

For Huawei P30 pro, I don’t think u can price beat with ow, as it is different colour, breathing crystal price is higher on amazon and it’s only colour officework selling….
And ow only selling it online..
I think so far the best deal is go amazon with cash back

    ShopBack 4.5%
    Cashrewards 3.5% on mobiles

Man, I m so temped with one plus 7 pro 12gb version, still waiting for a good deal… anyone?

    • Without knowing the outcome of the ongoing saga between US & China, you're still happy to buy?

    • Zenfone 6 or k20/poco 2 better choic? Much cheaper than 1plus

    • No always on display, no volte. Pass.

  • If I had 28 degrees mastercard I Could have saved 300$ on huawei mate 20 pro

    • how?

      • 1 paid 1120 and now price dropped to 820 so I could have claimed price difference if I purchased it through 28 degrees mastercard

        • i see, cheers, thought you may talk about some cash back by 28 degree lol

        • Less 28 degrees fees

  • +1

Hmmm Huwaei P30 looks like an awesome buy at this price. Was going to wait for a 10% off the Pixel 3a XL (mainly for clean Android and camera) but the P30 is a much better phone for not much more. Thoughts?

    • +1

completely agree with it, i am having a dilemma for P30 or mate 20 pro, emmmmmmmmm

      • For the price I'd go with mate 20pro. p30 pro has way better camera but for me that doesn't justify $300 difference as the mate 20 pro camera is already great.

    • Just realised no root for P30, bummer.

    • you mean p30 pro?
cause p30 is not much better than mate 20 pro,and is not the cheapest.
mother's day $200 gift card bonus combined with ebay 10% sitewide was the cheapest last month.

  • Can I claim TRS for this?

    • yes, i saw they were answering the question about it.

  • Does OfficeWorks price match sale prices from Amazon? Because the Samsung s10e is sale price.

    • Yes. They price beat, 5%
(Source, own s10e bought from OW at 5% off)

      • same color or a different color is fine too?

        • Sane colour. Has to be same model. Was relatively simple, easy and no hassles…once they compared apples were the same apples

  • Use cashreward to bring it down another 10%?

Edit. My bad. It's only 3.5%

  • Is Huawei Au stock? 2 yrs warranty?

  • Just got the S10e from Officeworks, 10min phone call, no issues with the price beat.

Thanks OP was not planning to buy one yet but $782 is a decent price.

  • Thanks OP
    Samsung Galaxy s10e.
No problems with price match at Officeworks. Total $781.51
Heads up, no stock of white or green at Keysborough, VIC.
Picked up a white at Mentone store, 5 mins ago.

  • +1

Thanks OP, picked up the S10e yesterday from Officeworks for $781.50 - pretty happy with that.
