      or is 4tb 9.5mm hdd only selling as bare drives?
      and which brand has a 4tb 9.5mm thick bare hdd if it exists at all?

    To answer my own question I'm going to guess yes, 1.2A across all the USB ports is avaiable, I think a single USB3 device can draw 900mA, but this seems to also be USB2 compatible so I guess it draws 500mA or less..

    But I'm guessing.
