Doesn’t Opera also have a built in free VPN and do this..?

    • Last we checked, Opera's mobile VPN was found to be a proxy and you can only choose by region (ie. north america, asia, etc). Tenta offers both a real built-in VPN for browsing as as well as device wide VPN and you can choose from a specific list of countries and cities. We currently offer 21+ locations and will double that number over the coming months.

  • Do you have a VPN server list by country?

    • +1

      Currently:

Seattle, Miami, Amsterdam, Singapore, New York, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Sydney, Sao Paolo, London, Montreal, Berkeley Springs, Siauliai, Chisinau, Bend, Mumbai, Athens, Zurich, Johannesburg, Auckland, Jaipur, Taiwan, Barcelona and Dallas.. We've been adding a couple new cities per week now

      • You need to add China in the future

  • Tried creating account. Used the code sent to email address and keeps showing error Not found.

    • Do you have Privacy Badger or any type of ad block on? It might be breaking the validation form. Otherwise, we're looking into it now, so thanks for the help

      • No i dont

      • I'm also having the same issues. No ad blocker is installed

Does this VPN work with Netflix U.S.?

    • Many of the locations do work. For the others, it's a cat and mouse game that we're continually working to fix. But if you have problems, please do email us [email protected] and let us know.

      • what about amazon prime video U.S.? i tried about 70% of the windscribe locations and none worked, so looking for an alternative

  • When and where do you make money? Selling data or history? ads revenue?

    • +1

Our business model is data protection, so we don't collect any data, only encrypt it on your device. After this promotion is over, our most popular subscription is a $1/month annual plan, which includes the device wide VPN (not just browser only) and all locations unlocked (only fastest location is usually free)

      • It's all about perceived value, some people wouldn't buy apple product because they find them too expensive, some people wouldn't get free things because they find them too cheap. Weirdly enough I would have bought if it was like $15-$30 per year rather than free, especially with VPN, cutting cost makes your privacy not so private anymore.

But thanks anyway I will download it and have a look (my NordVPN can be slow at times)

        • Makes your privacy not so private anymore…

And what exactly are Facebook and Google doing for free with even more of your personal data? That you've given out for free and accepted all their terms and conditions without even reading/understanding them just to be able to access use their services?

Facebook and Google know in REAL time All the time your gps positioning, what you searched for online, ads you've clicked on, which store/place you've visited, how long have you been at that location positioned, gave them access to your mobile phone contacts etc. You're happy giving all that for free?

One thing you need to understand, the moment you started using anything online you've said goodbye to your privacy.

          • @drazenm: I stopped using facebook a while ago and try to limit on android all the data collection by unsubscribing when it's possible. If you haven't tried yet, Duckduckgo is quite a good browser. But you are right, there is no helping being tracked, but does that mean we should all give up?

As long as they got active users by any means. They will get investors money.

    Where are you based?

    • In US and Romania

  • Not for iOS? or windows?

    • Once you have your OpenVPN login details it should be :)

    • We actually got a lot of demand for iOS and Windows, so we decided to extende the deal for these platforms. They will be released in a few months.

  • Any for PC?

    • PC support is coming soon. You can still sign up for the deal and we'll extend it to PC when it's available.

Please add Android only in main summary

      And in title

When your not paying for a product. you are the product.

    • We understand your concern, but our motivation behind this limited time offer is to make it super compelling for people to switch from Chrome and other browsers and use Tenta instead. Since we're a startup, it helps if we make a splash with an awesome deal to get people's attention. The founders of the company are public and last thing we would want is to ruin our reputation by selling out our users. As you know the internet can be pretty unforgiving.

Good for setting up the Indian YouTube Premium service. I personally went with Tunnelbear on the day I did it, but would have used this deal if any user had suggested it…

    • Thanks. Well it's free, so might as well get the offer just in case you want to try it in the future. Tenta is more than just a VPN. It's also fully encrypted browser with a built-in secure media vault

  • How is your VPN service from inside China?

    • So far we've heard its good. It's a cat and mouse game though.

  • Thank you very much. Please keep Nepal as a location on your future project.

    • OK thanks for sharing! We'll definitely add that on the roadmap.

  • Do you have expected release date for Windows browser?

    • The plan is in a few months we'll have a VPN app released first, so you can at least use the VPN services, then over the coming months we'll transition to the full browser experience

  • After signing up on my iPhone I can not download videos on my Whatsapp app Via wifi… msg pops up saying “ couldn’t download video. Try again. If the problem keep happening, turn off wifi or VPN or, connecting to different wifi network “. Is it becoz of VPN signed up???
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Thanks, I've signed up to have a look.

    • Awesome thank you!

  • Do you have an app for android-TV ?
I have a sony android tv and currently run expressVPN app thru the tv itself.

    • We'll have to look into this, so thanks for asking. Our current android browser might mostly already, but may need to tweak it a bit for Android TV.

      • It makes things much much much easier to run US netflix etc. All you have to fo is, open expressvpn… connect to country of choice… press netflix button on remote 👍 and you're instantly in US netflix.
I know there are some other ways whereby you hack certain models of router to run everything through VPN, but that's much more hassle for the novice user such as myself. Plus I would have to run a virtual router and have 1 of my computers on all the time (I don't have a router, but instead Hotspot Internet of my phone with unlimited data plan).

      • the browser does work very well on android tv, just set the app to tunnel the whole device
