This is a great memory kit for any new builds especially with Zen2 launch around the corner.

Recently I got this from another deal from Newegg US and the total was $180. But this is Oz stock and the cheapest price online unless I am badly mistaken.

    Haha. Sweet RGB indeed. All the components in my new build have RGB except the NVMe SSD and the CPU eventually.

  Be advised these have poor timing (cl-18). 3600 cl-16 is recommended.

    You could probably run CL16 with a bit more voltage (1.40-1.45v).

      Hopefully zen 2 is more stable than zen+ with memory and these can get tighter timings than is currently possible. Still, why take the risk?

        Take the risk or what? Buy 3600 CL16 B-die that's like $60 (~33%) more for only 5% more performance? lol

          @integral: First search I did for a 3600 cl-16 kit on new egg and I found some for $235 (25% premium). It's a valid argument, that $47 probably will only gain you a small performance increase, not 25% (although you have to look at whole system cost to make a real comparison).

          Second point is, 3600 CL-18 is the equivalent of 3200 CL-16. You can get a 3200 CL-16 for under $120. So buying this kit is to pay a premium of over 50%! Now that is a big premium for exactly the same performance, don't you think?

          If you want best bang for buck, go the CL-16 3200.

            In terms of latency, yeah, but 3600 has higher bandwidth, so they're not equivalent.

            Now that is a big premium for exactly the same performance, don't you think?

            High frequency RAM has always been disproportionately priced wrt the performance you actually get.
            3200 CL16 RAM is good value, but if you plan on overclocking, they're probably not a good choice (depending on the ICs ofc).

            I would recommend Crucial Ballistix 3000 CL15 for $114, which has high OC potential.

              @integral: Sounds like a good alternate recommendation. Really just trying to point out that the same logic as the original comment could be applied to the RGB kit.
