Cheapest so far for the X1 Carbon Gen 6, this is even better with 16GB ram (remember, RAM on this is not upgradable).
This model is FHD with touchscreen (which is really hard to find around).

    very good price, especially with 3 years warranty, but i will prefer non touch matt screen, if i want touch screen, i will rather get the yoga version.

          It comes at the expense of a higher res screen and added weight. But having used a touch laptop before, I'd never go non-touch again.

            @xmail: true but high res screens have downsides as well like severely increased battery consumption and also can add extra cost, just depends on how well it is executed, i believe lenovo do it pretty well but i have used some that are pretty trash

            @xmail: What makes you say that? I have used touch laptops and best not to touch the screen or it ends up with messy fingerprints all over it, not to mention that it's far faster to use a mouse for most things.

            Best touch laptops are definitely the 360 yoga style ones which are great for going through your photos with

              @Agret: Depends on how you use it.

              At a desk with an attached mouse - not much use for touch.
              Lying in bed lazily scrolling through web sites or zooming into areas of a photo/map - touch comes in handy.

              Yoga is definitely appealing if you plan on using it like a tablet. Personally I prefer the slimmer form factor and lighter weight as I only ever fold it 'laptop style'.

            @retainer: It says it on the Lenovo Aus website itself. Only the 14" HDR WQHD (2560x1440) model of the X1 Carbon Gen 6 has a glossy display. All others, including this FHD touch display, are anti-glare matte screens.

      Not odd at all. Corporations will rant waxical on the evils of plastic bags and straws then work damn hard to make sure your laptop or mobile has proprietary batteries and RAM soldered in so it's uneconomic not to bin it and start over. What drives me bonkers is people fall for it.

    Hmm this or yoga 8GB RAM for $1100. I think yoga will be more useful with the touch screen, on the other hand, 8GB ram might not be enough since I open lots of chrome tabs.

      I have the Yoga and rarely use it in tablet mode. 16x9 just isn’t a great aspect ratio for tablet use.

      At this price you can buy an external GPU and still have it be overall cheaper than a comparable laptop with discrete graphics included. Although at the same time that might be overkill for a U series processor, but atleast it's an option.
