Bungie is offering everyone their FREE iOS4 app that tracks gamer's commendations and challenges for the game Halo: Reach.

Upon downloading, your character in-game will obtain the special Blue Flame armor and an All-Star nameplate!

Since Blue Flame armor was previously reserved for Bungie employees, I think this would be pretty kickass since it's free.

Small print:
- This is not a free Halo: Reach game
- I believe you only need Silver subscription for the freebie

Obviously they'll be extending this app to include their new games. Word on the street is it'll top Halo when they release it.

Clever marketing

"Hey free Halo crap! Oh and btw, we now make -insert title here-"

It'll grab those who don't pay as much attention to the devs as they do the ip.
