This seems to be a good price for a 1TB SSD from a reputable brand. It has been cheaper before but this seems to be best price now.

Note that this is the QVO model which is the cheapest of the Samsung SSD models (better is the EVO series, and best is the PRO series).

Promotion code brings the price down to $148.50. Then claim the $20 cashback from Samsung to get a final price of $128.50 for 1TB SSD. Good for people who want the speed of SSDs over HDDs.

    Not as slow as a mechanical but it’s the low end of the ssd range … more people buy, more they will try to push this down our throat

      If the prices drop more QLC NAND will be a great option to replace the spinning disk. No point paying for really high write speeds for mass storage of photos and video, steam library. The read speed is what you want will improve the day to day access of the data.

      On sale the QVO (QLC) and EVO (TLC) are very similar in price $0.13/GB vs $0.16/GB, so EVO (TLC) is the one to buy. If you had to pay RRP I see the QVO being good value. Maybe another 25% drop on the current discount price ($0.10/GB) would make the consistency of write speed trade off more worth it.

      Honestly, 90% of people won't notice. If it goes from loading Windows 18minutes on HDD, to SSD 1min…. it's more than fine

    If your budget is this tight you're better off getting an MX500. QLC isn't worth the money
