Got a heads up from a friend who works at 7 Eleven:

On Wednesday the 14th of August 7 Eleven will be giving out free Choc Chip Banana Bread via the fuel app.

          They can just say it "ran out". You can't be 100% it's hidden.

      I don't understand why there's always comments about staff hiding stock. 7 eleven spend marketing money for these promotions, the stores doesn't loose any money.

      Most stores probably wouldn't prepare for these events so they only have their standard level of stock. Once they ran out, they would have to wait for next delivery. Or they just haven't bothered to restock yet. They're not going to go out of their way, and will probably restock when they have time.

          If you actually clicked on the supplied image, it actually says

          This offer is supplier funded offer. Reimbursements will be visible in store's August financials.

          And the owners footing the bills of individual stores doesn't usually work the tills…

    stock varies so wildly from store to store even before 6am.
    at the first store, i grabbed the last one.
    second store, there were 8 on the shelf.

    Just got one in Brisbane 7 eleven and Unfotunately the banana bread had fungus in it!! Grosss. Only realised after eating half of it :(.
    Gave it back and the shop person was quite rude and said 'so what? throw it away.' 'This happens sometimes, it is fine take another one'
