Following sold out performances, and a recent nomination for Best Production of a Musical (Green Room Awards), BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL is set to make a Melbourne return and its professional premiere in Sydney and Perth.

Bitingly relevant, sprinkled with sass and inspired by the hit film, BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL is a hilarious, high energy hit featuring explosive choreography with aerial stunts.

Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL features an original story by Tony Award winner, Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Hamilton), music by Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning composer, Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist, Amanda Green (High Fidelity), and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical.

With a colourful assortment of characters and an exciting fresh sound, this universal story is sure to be everything you hope for and nothing like you expect!

  • Thanks! The movie is a guilty pleasure, and this is a cheap night out with the Mrs. Looking forward to it.

  • We cheer and we lead
We act like we're on speed
    Hate us cause we're beautiful
Well we don't like you either
We're cheerleaders - We are cheerleaders!

Must be a classic movie, still to this day I know the words to that song.

  • Damn it, i just bought tickets yesterday.

  • Damn OP. I tried to get these a couple of days ago. I couldn’t because I’m not a vip member. I bought mine from on the house for $20.

How about doing another free VIP deal?

  • Can anyone comment on age-suitability?

Saw it in Melbourne. I think it’s appropriate for teenagers and up. Younger kids probably wouldn’t understand some of the references.

      • Thanks! Was there anything that would be specifically unsuitable for younger than teens, or is it just the case of not being able to follow some of the plot points?

        • From what I can remember, there isn’t anything unsuitable for children younger than teens. I can’t remember any gratuitous swearing or any sex scenes or violence or anything like that. It’s rather they might not understand some of the high school or partying references.

Thanks for something in WA (that's not during the comedy festival)

  • Saw this in Melbourne from tickets I got through Promotix. I really enjoyed it; it was a good night out. It’s nothing like the movie really, but apparently the storyline is similar to one of the direct-to-DVD sequels. Still good and funny songs though, and the cheerleading is amazing.
