I definitely don’t need another random Xiaomi product.. Ordered a grey one.

anyone know how much weight these can take? my kids go through bags every 3 months, with the books, sports clothes, laptop, lunch, other crap.

    • They won't fit all their stuff in that bag.

      • You should buy them the school one. They are very strong (the high school ones)

    • These bags barely fit my 13" laptop in them. I stopped using it after a few weeks, just not enough things in there.

After you have placed your order, just try your luck with their lotto:

  • Does anyony know if there is a side pocket for a water bottle?

  • Ordered.

This looks different to the kogan and gearbest link

    Different bag ?

  • Wow this luxury brand are used by many chinese.

    • didn’t think xiaomi is a luxury brand …. more just mainstream brand. guess it’s compared to what else you have access to.

      • From all chinese branded products xiaomi tops them all, bring a mainland China premium product I can tell you many Chinese in Asia and Aus use xiaomi using there bags and cloths etc.

having a low price doesn’t justify a cheap quality brand, don’t be fooled by the likes of Lv, roads or Gucci and stuff, this is the true price and xiaomi makes sure that their product is value for money without super inflated ridiculous prices.

        • +2

Definitely not luxury. Higher quality yes, more attention to packaging and finish and material of products but they make toys, rice cookers, fans, alarm clocks and toothbrushes. Having been to China many times, they model their stores after Apple but no mainland Chinese person would consider Xiaomi products luxury or premium.

        • I thought you were trying to be funny.

  • Damn, just saved money on this $7.50 backpack from Kmart yesterday.

    • +1

the kmart backpack might be cheaper because it’s made in vietnam, cambodia, or bangladesh rather than the xiaomi which might be made in china where labor rates are higher , you pay a premium if it’s made in china.

      • +7

you pay a premium if it’s made in china

This might be the first time this has ever been written.

    • The kmart one is a lightweight polyester (plastic) type with no rigid back support. Wouldn't be suitable at all for a laptop or comfortably carrying a lunch box, etc on a kids back.

This banggood one looks a lot sturdier. Hard wearing fabric, with padded areas to cushion laptop and soften hard edges from poking into your back. More compartments for separating laptop from books, from food, from phone and keys etc also.

Depends what you're after really.. This banggood bag would make a better school bag by a mile I'd say. Hence price difference.

It's not the same as this is it? Looks like a simpler cheaper model? https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/xiaomi-mi-business-backpack-bla…

    • +2

Not the same. Banggood one is cheaper simpler model

      Capacity 17L
      Size 28x12x41cm
      Closure Type Zipper
      Weight 560g

      • Thanks for letting me know! :)

I have the business backpack. Got it from the $26 gearbest deal a while back.
Very good backpack. Biild quality looks better and sturdier than this banggood deal.

      • Thanks for the feedback! I guess i'll wait around for that to go on special.

  • oh i need to stop using ozbargain haha, i just ordered one.

The coupon expired just as I was using it?

This coupon can only be used 300 times.

    • Looks like 300 people have bought. I missed mine too

  • Coupon doesn’t work. Expired?

  • Is this expires?
Did anyone had actually real experience with these xiamomi backpacks in terms of durability?

  • This coupon can only be used 300 times…

  • NFC / B28?

    • +1

yes, comes with a USB port to charge your NFC/B28 enabled smartphone

  • What’s the next cheapest?

  • This is not the official Xiaomi branded product, easy to tell just from the product page along, no Xiaomi backpack has a USB port. Don't be fooled!!

    • Xiaomi or not, this bag has top 5 star reviews from 210 buyers, so for this price should be ok for intended use don't you think?

      • +1

Yes, totally agrees, as long as it gets the job done and relatively durable, it doesn't really matter if it has the Xiaomi branding or not. My point was that for those who thinks that this is a Xiaomi product, and have had a bad experience with the product listed above, please don't blame Xiaomi for it. Thanks

  • Can anyone confirm that this is a genuine Xiaomi product? Cant seem to find much information on this bag (the ones from Kogan are on Xiaomi's webpage but not this one). Would be quite pricey if it is just some unbranded bag!

    • +1

No, this is not a genuine Xiaomi product, do not buy if you cares about those kind of things. The one listed on Kogan is different to the one listed above.

    • Most likely not, so no logo badge for this bag lol.

Seems like it is good value going by reviews for a nice simple light stealthy bag.

      • +1

Kinda misleading in their advertising saying it is Xiaomi …

        • +1

Yeah, agree. We are not sure whether this is a Xiaomi product or fake Yet, but if fake then most likely Banggood needs to take responsibility and correct their error.

    • Apparently is the cooperation brand of Xiaomi whatever that means hahah

  • The code has expired, but the backpacks are still only AUD $22.47

I bought this bag for the same price a few weeks ago, here is a review:

The bag is quite compact and can be a little small. It is not very 'thick' so you can have trouble with some bulky objects.
Good if you are only fitting it with a few documents/books + laptop.
Fits 15" laptop, mine is a bit thicker and it is quite tight and makes up the full frame of the bag.
You probably won't be able to fit books, food containers and clothes in there.

    Not many compartments

Internally there is the dedicated laptop slot. Then there's two powerbank sized ones + 2 pen ones. There is an attached USB cord for the extension. There's a decent length to it, about 30-40cm. I actually find it more as a nuisance then benefit because the cord can get caught on things and isn't fixed along a particular path.

There is a dedicated side compartment - too small and tight to fit any sized waterbottle.
Also a front compartment that's quite thin.

I find the zipper to be very low quality. The bag is square in shape and it catches a bit in the top corners on both side.
My zipper broke off after 3 days of use being caught in the corner.
Doesn't seem to be as good as a genuine xiaomi bag where the zippers are much more durable and smooth (see below)

I switched back to my usual driver after a week (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/385725)

  • wow, mine arrived today, that was quick.

  • My order got cancelled ! WTF !
