Not sure if joking, but both the Sony XM3's and Bose QC35 II are much better noise-cancelling headphones at a lower price…

      • +1

They're premium ANC brands, but not premium AQ brands.

      • QC35 and XM3 are more about gimmicks and less about sound quality. This is AKG. You have to listen to these to understand the sound quality. They are absolutely sensational.

  • $1999??!! Wow

    • Still cheaper than s10+ 256gb RRP

      • Crazy prices. I guess is all about where people are happy to spend their money.

        • They have and continue to, iPhone is the main example. This is far cheaper than the iPhone.

  • Lol what a ripp off. Even if I had a lot of money I would never support this business practices. Overrated. Overpriced. No thanks.

    love Aura Glow one

    looks like the P30 Pro

    • +2

P30 Pro looks much nicer in my opinion, this one kinda looks like a cheap holographic.

Note 9 is still in the $1100 range for anything decent. I've been waiting for months for a price drop. Anyone know when it will start to drop (based on previous announcements of upgraded models)?

  • Processor Model Exynos 9825 (7nm)………………… why why why???!!!!

    • That's actually newer than the S10.

  • Note 5 still going strong, will upgrade as soon as someone offers me a 6 figure salary.

  • +1

Rather just buy the international variant, preferrably with Snapdragon and dual SIM, unlike the inferior local version.

    • Exynos is mostly the same unless you are a hardcore mobile phone gamer head

      • Exynos belongs in a laptop or tablet, not a phone.

      • Until you have an S9+ and get fairly worse battery life compared to the SnapDragon variant.

        • I got S10E Exynos and for the first month it had quite bad battery life, first update more than doubled the battery life for me. Same happened for S10 and S10+ models. Not sure about S9 models.

          • @onlinepred: Yeah they tried to fix the S9s but they are still quite a margin behind the snapdragons. Wish I had waited for the S10e, get rid of this beautiful but impractical curved screen. Bane of my existence it is.

            • @knobbs: Oh man I went from Note 8 to S10E, and I miss the Spen a lot, but realised I love small phones.

  • +3

Telstra has a 5g for the 4g price, so $1699 instead of $1999 and "no lock-in", not sure if there's a catch

    • +2

Just had a chat with them. The device payment with no interest for 24 or 36 months, but you have to choose a month-to-month service with $50 a month as the smallest one. You can cancel the service plan any time and pay the device cost as a lump sum. So, the maths is: $1699 + $50 for the Note 10+ 5G. Still better than the HN deal, I reckon.

      • Do you know, if you cancel the month-to-month plan, do you have the option of continuing paying the phone off on a month-to-month basis or do you need to pay that off at that point, too?

        • +1

I did ask that question and was told that we have to pay the device cost as a lump sum if we cancel the "service"

    • that's pretty good, you get the 512 GB phone, for $1750 plus bonus head phone

  • "the Note 10 series in Australia only supports Single SIM"

This confuses me. From the information I could find it says that no 5G version supports dual sim but some 4G versions support dual sim.

On the JB Hifi website if you go to the Note 10+ 4G version it says "Dual SIM (nano-SIM/nano-SIM) - True"

  • +2

A year ago the Aussie dollar was worth USD$0.74, and now it's about USD$0.68. I'm sure this at least partially explains the awful prices.

    • +2

      (profanity) Trump!

  • +1

hmmm if you can flick the headphones for $300, plus get a $100 giftcard it brings my desired model down to almost note 9 prices?

    $1699
    -$300 flick the phones
    -$100 eftpos giftcard
    $1299 total.

The Note 9 is still retailing for $1249 so this Note 10+ deal is a better option.

    • I think there will be plenty of them on the market though

      • Yep, same thing happened with the free galaxy buds which were meant to be worth $250.

Within the first week of release, people were lucky to sell it for above $150 due to just how many were being listed on ebay/gumtree.

        • +1

hmm if you order from amazon do you get 10% cashback?

if so its 1599 - 10% - whatever you sell these for which is hopefully worth more than 50%

          so 1439 - 250 = 1189

  • Looks like Australia will have the dual sim (hybrid). Both JB Hifi and Harvey Norman list hybrid (dual) sim on their S10+ 4G models.

    • Bout time it's standard for AUS models.

  • -1

This is almost twice as good as a $300 phone.

    • What $300 phone?

  • Thats an explosive deal..

  • +1

And here I'm still using my Galaxy s8 with no intent to upgrade 😂

    • Still using my Nokia 5110. Will skip the Note 10.

  • Anyone know if the note+ 256gb support 5g Or any other differences from the 512gb besides storage space?

    • Note 10 + 256gb will be 4G only. You'll have to get the 5G model specifically in the 512GB model.

    • From what I could find the Australian variants are:

Note 10+ 4G - 256gb - hybrid (dual) sim (maybe, depending where you buy it)
      Note 10+ 5G - 512gb - single sim

      Couldn't see anyone selling a 256gb 5G version.

    • Cheers 👍

Better to buy ROG phone 2

    • +2

I agree, so disappointed with Note 10, but I think I am going to buy asus rog phone 2. That looks awesome

      • wheres the best place to get it tho

    • I'm leaning that too now

  • I've never used the word fugly before… but those headphones are fugly

  • There are the headphones if anyone was wondering

    uhh.. 2k? k bai

  • Samsung's market share has fallen below 1% in China. They still keep marching on the wrong way.

    • +1

To be fair, there market share has been less than 1% for the last 18 months. They love their Huawei over there.

      • about 0.75% to be exact lol

  • FYI (direct from Samsung):

“Note 10+ is the only hybrid sim model. Note10 and Note10+ 5G are single sim.”

  • Legit Samsung has somehow lost the plot…..

    • I will stick
with my Note 8 which basically got for free with the JB hi fi / Telstra deal. Telstra peeps can also get 50% off no bonus I think

      • The 8 series Notes and S models were the first in a while I think that warranted upgrades, great screens, form factor etc etc, everything since has been sideways at best, ugly notches, removing features…

The 9 models were a huge meh for anyone with an 8. 10 doesn't seem much better either…

  • I would have liked if 5G was a standard feature and the only choice you had was either the standard or plus and the storage capacity.

  • -1

Bought the first Note, still my favourite device.

Now my $200 Sharp Aquos S2 is my second favourite device.

Why are you paying more for a device before it's been released? Very strange behavior for users of a bargain website lel …

  • Another option would be to purchase off Amazon with 10% cashrewards which would bring the phone down to $1529.10 (for the Note 10+ 256GB) and you get the AKG headphones too.
Although this method would mean you would have to wait to receive the cashrewards.

    • CR is up to 10% cashback. Mobiles are only 3.5% cashback. Shopback would be 4.5% cashback.

  • +1

JB are also do this deal if it hasn't already been mentioned

  • +1

Are you sure Amazon is 10% cash back? i think for mobile it's only 3.5%

  • Since Note 10 has been released. Hope the price of S10 comes down further

  • +2

my v30+ for $399 will shit on this

    • +1

Yep, you have a headphone jack and a great amp.
This phone is just a fashion accessory.

  • Is going for a JB Hifi plan with the $500 phone credit better? $65 plan though
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/mobile/

Looks like you get the headphones too.
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/Outright-Mobile-Handsets/sa…

  • Cant justify buying this at this price unless you really need the Stylus.

  • No idea if anyone is interested in this but i noticed not much spec info on Aussie samsung site so here is Global site specs in detail https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-note10/specs/

  • Who's stupid idea was it to too drop a headphone jack in the first place?
    Hmm….

    • apple

  • 5G without dual sim ??? Letme find the engineer behind this crime of century.

  • Samsung Partner Company portal has:
    Note10 256GB - $1199.20
    Note10+ 256GB (Hybrid Sim, whatever that means) - $1359.20
    Note10+ 256GB 5G - $1599.20

All come with AKG N700NCM2 headphones (RRP $499?) as preorder bonus.

  • Trade your existing Note 9 512GB you've purchased last year for $1799 for only $419 and then spend $1999 for the flagship and then it goes down to $1499 after 3 months therefore give away your phone for nothing for a new phone that is 10% faster.
    Sounds like a good deal!!!
    What do ya reckon?
