    Goddamn, I paid $329 for these when they were new.

    I've had one for about 2 years now, great performance. SATA 3 SSDs can't really get much faster on that ancient interface.

      MX500 has a newer controller, improved SLC cache so under heavy load, MX500 performs better (better random read as well). It also has 5 years warranty.
      MX300 has slightly better (lower) power consumption.
