These are not the 'wireless' charging case if anyone is wondering. Every set of airpods would come with a charging case.

    • Whats the difference? Does this charging case require to be connected to power outlet while charging?

      • Charging Case needs to be plugged in, Wireless Charging Case can be plugged in, but also can be put on a Qi charger.

      • +1

You plug the the charging case into the power point to charge the case

the wireless charging case can be wirelessly charged

in both cases the airpods go in the case and are charged no matter which case its just the charging of the case

Anyone find a good deal for AirPod 2 with the wireless charging case?

Cheapest I could find was about $230 with the 20% off coupon last week but didn’t pull the trigger. :(

    • Aren't these the one you looking for airpod2 with wireless

      • +1

Dont believe this is wireless charger

        • Well can't see the wireless charging case model number should be A1938

      • +1

These aren’t the wireless charging case, just the AirPod 2 with the same case as the AirPod 1.

    • I got 2 sets at $230

      • Are you looking to sell one?

  • a lot of retailers are claiming "australian stock", which to me implies coverage under ACL. Does anyone know how to check if that's the case, or if the retailer simply meant the product is shipped from australia? Because the latter is also technically true for "australian stock".

    • +2

Any Australian retailer selling you stock from Australia will be bound by the ACL.

  • Would there be Airpods 3 in Sept

  • Thanks. Pulled the trigger this time.

    • I got mine last time during the 230$ and they are excellent

      • Are they literally just Bluetooth headphones with an Apple logo attached to them? I can't see how they'd be better than comparatively priced headphones from other companies.

        • +3

Nah, not really. They have an extra chip and a couple of other easy googleable features.

Edit: They are expensive though, you are right.

        • +2

No, I have a few other sets of bluetooth headphones, both more expensive (SONY WH-1000XM3) and better sounding and cheaper (cheap wireless earbuds). And while they BOTH sound better than the AirPods in critical listening, I keep using the AirPods mostly because they are just so easy to use and connect reliably EVERY time. The Sonys are definitely in another league (esp with NC) but they are large and I have to carry a big carry case, the AirPods just slip into my pocket and I don't even notice they are there. 90% of the time the AirPods are my go-to.

  • missed the Sony deal, bug

  • Anyone else getting "this code can't be applied to your order" on checkout. Guessing deal has expired.

  • How do these compare to the Sony ones from Saturday.

    • -1

Sony is functionally a lot better, airpods is apple product, so airpods win

      • Lol. Sigh. Thanks.

  • I think I will go for one of the clones of the AirPods2. Even an Apple engineer can't tell the difference:

    https://infinitepods.co/

    • Problem is these will be bricked as soon as Apple gets their hands on a set

    • read this makes you think twice about buying clone items, never know what they put inside

      • Thank you for sharing that. Definitely worth the reading.

  • Saw the ones with wireless charging case @Costco Auburn for $284.99

  • Are these worth the price?
