  It depends on how you use it. As @Wilder94 points out, 1667 points gets you $10 off fuel at BP.
  
  45000 points gets you a one way business class upgrade to the US. The fare difference between upgradable economy and business is around $2K each way, so that makes your 1500 points worth around $65.
  
  A return trip to Europe in business class will set you back 255 000 velocity points. Paying for the ticket is around $8K on a good full service airline. Burning your points that way makes them worth about $50.
