  • Possible Officeworks Price match?

    • No chance. Grey import plus coupon code

      • no pre-order headphones either ;P

  • Are these the Snapdragon version? Any difference from the Exynos ones?

    • +1

Exynos 9825 is better if not on par with the Snapdragon 855 the S10 had Exynos 9820 on 8nm aritechture which is garbage.

      • The die manufacturing makes NO difference to the performance unless they have clocked it up higher or added new components. The 9825 is nothing more than a die shrunk 9820 at the same speed, nothing extra on top of it. Performance is exactly the same.

        • Performance is not a concern. However 9825 is a 7nm chip which means much more efficient and I guess the big difference to 9820 is battery life.

Let’s keep an eye on the YouTube battery life reviews

        • +2

The two A75 have been clocked up from 2.3Ghz to 2.41Ghz and the GPU has been clocked higher.

        • snapdragon i still superior to the Exynos 9825, ive read many articles and seen tests that put the 9825 up against the snapdragon. It has also been reported that there is lag on the 9825, but this is most likely because it is new and has not been optimized yet. there is an article that also claims that the power consumption is worse than the snapdragon… again.

Smaller die, less heat, the clock runs at peak for longer time, better performance, and the battery lasts slot longer

  • compromising the Samsung pay and 2 yrs local warranty, I would at least get the blue one which is not listed in there.

    • Samsung Pay works if you flash it to AU firmware. The benefit of grey is also Dual Sim. It's all about preference really. Warranty is not a issue for me as I will prob get the S11 when it comes out.

Will AU firmware designed for Exynos work on Snapdragon?

        • -6

Yes, worked with all the other previous models.

  • Anyone dealt with this mob for warranty before? Tempted to get a white one

  • The fact that both local stock and imprts have dropped in price even before release makes me happy in my pants,

I'll be ready to buy soon!

    • +3

i literally just pre ordered the EPP one for $50 more, but Aus stock

thank god i used my 28degrees card

waiting for a price drop so i can claim price protection and still get to use it early

      • Have you claimed price protection with online purchases before?

    • I wont buy another because I'm sick of thousand dollar plus incremental upgrades. Note 8 still feels perfect 2 years later.

  • +1

I want Note 10 with Dual Sim, but only note 10+ have dual sim here in Australia. Note 10+ just feel a bit too big for me, so I guess I can only buy Grey import.

    • +9

      R u doin self talk here ?🤔

    • If anything, 10+ for the battery difference…

  • whats the bext way to buy a note 10 plus now?

    • From Samsung EPP or EDU if you know someone who can access it.

  • I have confirmed with the seller this is a SD855 variant and dual sim. All other AU variants sold in AU are exynos processors. Even with the JB HIFI deal this is the best option if you dont want to signup for 2 year contract. I am planning to order this one shortly.

  • So being a Snapdragon phone, am I right to assume we won't be able to use Samsung Pay, Wifi Calling or VoLTE here in Australia?

(I've ordered one regardless since I don't need those features, but good to know for when I resell it eventually).

  • +1

thats a good point @justo316. I never thought of that. Now i dont use any of those features as well but i'd like to know if any of these features works.

Just picked up the 256GB Adreno 640 non one can beat it!

No 5G in Hong Kong so you wont get a Snapdragon 5G unless you get the Verzion version in the USA. I say wait on 5G until next year.
