Clarification: Follow the referral link (below this post, under "Referral Links"), sign up (has to be a new account), get your free credit score (Experian) and receive a $5 Wish gift card. If you refer a friend after that, you get another $5 (your friend will also get $5 for signing up.

The $5 Woolworths WISH eGift Card that can be redeemed in-store or online at participating Woolworths Group stores. You can earn up to $1000 in gift cards through referrals as part of this promotion.

Offer available until 16/12/2019 or while stocks last.

I used this deal last time it was around and received the gift card, both when I signed up and when I referred a friend. No spam so far (only a notification Email when there is a change to my credit score, which I find useful).

    Tried passport and license, neither could be verified and now I'm blocked from trying again for one month.

    Tried to make a new account and it's telling me that I already used both IDs to get a credit report???

    Support is also refusing to reset my account. I just gave away all my info for absolutely nothing.

        Hope I'm proven wrong, but during the last round of this I referred a few people, and the only one that used an existing account was the only one that didn't earn the referral.

    I received a gift card 3 hours after sign up, but I think that was a referral as it lines up roughly with when my link was clicked and the email says "Thanks for helping your friend with their finances". Thanks mystery OzBargainer!

    I don't want to sound paranoid but is it a good idea to provide very sensitive information such driver licence, address and date of birth to a 3rd party company for just $5?

    I am not saying that Finder is going to do something malicious but you can do a lot with a person these days just by knowing all info about him.

      Like finder themselves says: companies already know about you, why don't you check for yourself what companies have access to. It was scary for me to look at finder the # credit cards, limits, and closed cc and others. Complete invasion of privacy by this Credit Check System.

      Others also pointed out wording was not clear, fixing it now. Basically get $5 for signing up through referral, get $5 each for everyone you refer afterwards.

      Also, thank you for the fiver! That’s two packets of kettle chilli chips. Legend.

    I am so afraid to provide my details, a random calls in the morning, afternoon and evening.

    The heavy indian English accent straight away make me want blep the call and put it under spams.

    Yes I have those call impersonating ATO officer too, I don't know how they get certain details but it get hilarious when they started to have all sort of payment methods. I even tried offering Xbox and psn digital cards just to have fun, no sir it has to be Apple iTunes. Lmao

      Definitely can in-store on the self-serve registers, just select e-gift card split payment and put $5 increments.

      Not sure about online though

    Thanks OP, received the $5 voucher straight away. This is a better credit score check giving you a rating. Another one I used just showed the number of applications but did not give an actual score.

      Awesome. The other one you got would have been Equifax, apparently both types are used (and sometimes at the same time) when assessing, therefore both are useful.

        Equifax also generate credit rating scores (between 0 and 1200) but usually not directly to consumers.

    Tried redeeming in store today and it said "declined contact bank", printed out a receipt and the $5 balance was on there. Clerk couldn't help either. Not sure what to make of this?

      Sounds like you don't know how to use it. You probably tried to buy something for more than $5 and didn't do partial payment. Or you typed in the wrong code.

          Yes, after “pay now”, select “other payment method”, and it says something like “e-gift card - split payment”, type $5, then enter giftcard number & pin on the pos machine.

    Well has been over 24 hours since joining for me and never received any gift card at all , and followed instructions. All i ever recevied was a joining email and thanks. Never joined before and still nothing…. not in spam email either. A Waste Of time.

    And now on top of this it wont allow me to delete the account. WOW Just WOW!

    Hi, Yes i have (and did ) complete my credit score however it still has or did not send me a voucher. I have since been able to delete the account finally.
    So my experiance with this was far from great.
    Good on anyone else that was able to grab $5.

      @fieldtry, a non-ozbargainer (weird, I know) friend of mine signed up at around 1pm today and I received the referral.So it looks like the deal is still active. If it has been more than a few hours since you signed up, I suggest you contact finder on livechat.

    This didn't work for me. I clicked through the referral link when this was first posted and got my credit score, but no gift card. I can also see that 2 people clicked on my referral, and I didn't get any gift card from that either.

    I have been on the live chat a couple of times. The first time they told me it would take 48 hours, but now after a few days they are telling me that they have no record of me using a referral link or anyone else using my referral link.

    Very sad that mine never turned up and nothing for the 5 referral clicks either. I guess Finder is going to get a nasty review or two from me. Don’t do promotions that don’t work reliably for people because you’ll just make them unhappy and lose them permanently as customers. Thanks to OP and hope he gets lots of vouchers for his trouble even if some of us missed out.

      Never got anything either and Finder customer service was no help, just kept wasting my time and ignoring emails and then eventually asked me for the friend code I signed up with. Can't be bothered, deleted my account. I also had clicks on my ref link and received nothing.

      Wow that answer makes no sense! The links from ozbargain are the same referral links.

      My only theory is maybe some of the random referral links were from older/now deleted Finder accounts. But even if this was the case, Finder should give everyone who signed up and got their credit score $5. Frustrating indeed.

    I am mildly concerned by this credit check. I have accounts that appear under "current credit accounts" which are marked as "closed."

    I know they ARE closed. But how does a bank see these accounts? Current, or closed? From the looks of this credit report it could go either way, which is less than ideal.
