      Well for those not in the know, it reads as if you have a perpetual license (is a once off life time edition?) … So why buy an annual? (Is like buying Office 2019, then signing up to 365 for a year).

        They stopped selling perpetual licences few years back. It means you have office 2016 and signing up to 365 for a year.

          @NITINR: Doing as you say only makes sense if 365 has some useful features that office 2016 doesn't have. AutoCAD is a very old program, are they still adding features that are useful to most people?

            @Russ: IT's often less a matter of new features and more about retaining compatibility with everyone else in your industry who did upgrade. AutoCAD less so but Revit is often a peer forced upgrade.
