      Sanity later :)

      • Insanity later.

    • I don't think that's the right code.

  • Charged $10.95 for shipping to me…and I've got plus (Nerf gun).

Maybe it was a form of price jacking.

  • +6

Got the blaster, free shipping. Was going to shoot myself in the head for missing out on the google home hub until I looked over and saw a google home mini still in the plastic from the last deal…

  • +4

Tks OP, done with this crazy eBay plus deals and wasted a lot of time at work.
Managed to get the Bose Headphones, the towels and the Nerf gun.
Missed out the Google Home Hub and the Fry Pan.
Happy for today's result, as you can never win it all.
Also would like to Thank those who identify the items, great work indeed!

    • +11

You call that waste of time? LOL

  • +9

I don't blame items getting sold out quickly, but what is frustrating is that not all deals popped up within the spotlight deals section which is where it doesn't match the terms and conditions. If it were popped up and then you miss out, it is understandable as there are at least thousands if not less trying to purchase the item at the same time so not all can go through. But to identify the seller and the product from thousands when not mentioned in the terms and conditions seems unfair for those trying it based on ebays instructions.

    • +3

      its PTOOTH20 my dude

    • May I ask, how did you find the link and this code? I'm just lost

      • +7

You just match up the price with what the promotion says it 'was' to find the listing, and then trialling codes. For example, for the headphones, when you typed in PSOUND20, it told you that it wasn't 'ready yet' rather than 'not a valid code', so you know that's the right code…
        I've explained this terribly…

    • Thank you, added to watch list

    • Dont mind paying for post on that one, $30 would be a great price.

    • -1

Note the $10 Standard Postage, so will be $30 Total after Promo Code.

      Updated

      • I don't quite know if that's the link for sure - isn't eBay Plus all about free shipping etc? Shaver Shop doesn't even have it listed as an eBay plus item as yet. I wouldn't be surprised it it's actually from Amcal

        • The price for the link you provided doesn't match with the information revealed on Finder.

The Nerf Blaster wasn't eBay Plus as well.

          • @RichardL: The price of the Shaver Shop listing doesn't match with the information revealed on Finder either. Says $99, which I can't seem to find any listed at that price. You are correct however, didn't realise the Nerf Blaster wasn't eBay plus, which is kinda odd. Either way, wouldn't be the worst thing to have both tabs open if you're hunting the toothbrush :D

            • +1

              @MBix: Shavershop has $89 + $10 Delivery which is technically $99 😛

              • @RichardL: haha, that's very true, look my brain is muddled from today's festitivies ok! I'll close my Amcal tab, but if it's Amcal somehow in the end you're brushing my teeth!

                Okay that sounds wrong.

                I'm sticking to it!

                • +1

@MBix: Shavershop updated to $99.95 and eBay Plus Item now.

    • Thanks

  • almost buy the Nerf, but for $38 no for me

  • +1

The gun is still available, free shipping for me too. But of no use, so I'll pass.

  • If I had free shipping I would have gone for the Nerf gun.
Is it only Sydney locals getting free shipping?

    • Bought one, from VIC free shipping

  • +1

What a waste of time. I added the Google Hub to my cart, at payment - no more in stock!
Kept refreshing for the Bose earphones every 5 seconds - I didn't even see it pop up in the deals!

    • +6

Wrong way to buy promotional items, you HAVE to get the links BEFORE, or you never get a chance.

      • How do you get the links before it went on sale?

      • Did u get the rest? Coffee pods and toothbrush?

  • +6

Free shipping for the blaster. Had no success all day and was surprised its still available so purchased it. Needless to say, I just wasted $20.

    • +1

Same here, only had luck with the towels and Nerf gun, Bought the towels because I was angry for missing the hub, bought the Nerf because I was angry at the Bose. Well played Ebay

  • what, Nerf blaster isn't sold out yet? haha

    • Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order.
      I used the code : PMEGA20

      • damn! ok I will wait till 6pm to try my luck on the toothbrush.

eBay! you have assassinated my patience.

  • Could get the Nerf but don't want it at all.

    • I'll give you $10 for it..

all the neg votes are butthurt people who missed on the deal, get over it and move on.

    • +5

Umm. Many people might have spent the whole day in front of a computer and ended up with nothing. That's enough reason to be whining about.

      • +1

people like me have bought the ebayplus for headphones! now i do not have headphone and I 50$ out of pocket. lol

        • +1

This is the worst case scenario but I opened another ebay account and saved 50 dollars :)

          • +1

@baldur: I hope in next 1 year, i will get some nice deal to justify the purchase. I think amazon prime will be better option than ebay. People here can tell more about it I guess. I am not an expert.

            • +2

@s26f84: I think Amazon's music and video service are enough to outrun eBay by themselves.

  • +1

no one buys the coffee tabs lol fail deal

  • everyone today busy pressing F5, I notice not many good deals have been posted since morning. Thanks eBay

  • Are we trying to break the record for most negs to an active deal?

  • I hope i get tooth brush atleast! lol

Can you help me out with the code?

      • PTOOTH20

  • I am surprised this has more -ve than the Qantas Frequent Flyers deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/476128?page=11#comment-768…
At least you have a higher probability of getting something with EBay.

    • It wasn't possible to neg that deal after positively voting for it.

  • Wouldn't it be funny if we see some of these items ended back up on eBay in a few weeks time as "unwanted birthday gifts".

    • No doubt, same with the Sony, Airpod and Bose headphones too ;-) But hey good for them, if the prices are good and people who missed out have a chance to get lower than the usual market price, it's a win-win, right.
P.S. I failed to grab any of those deals…

  • +1

So it's safe to say that the only people who got any of the deals today are from this forum?
There's no chance anyone outside of here would have had a chance.

    • I was surprised to get the google hub, I wasn't on this forum other than earlier today to see what time the deal was on.
When i logged on at exactly the right time, i saw it on the deals page, and managed to get it to my surprise.

When it came to the bose I was already on the page before the sale time, refreshing and the bose deal didn't even come up even after a few minutes, and turns out it had already sold out.

      • Same same. Some deals just didn’t ever appear.

    • I was thinking the opposite… baby boomer or ozvargain unaware people’s shooting from the hip on their shitty cheap laptops snagging up the deals. There doesn’t seem to be a LOT of people commenting how they scored an item (in comparison to the total sold). IMHO of course

      • I think many people are afraid of the negs if they proudly claim they got one.

Then of course there's others who have gotten one of each item and are happy to brag 😁

  • -1

Anyone found Oral B link ?

    • I think its from shop savers

      • Correct

  • No need another one a kindergarten kid can find :)

  • +4

Price for toothbrush on Shaver Shop has just gone up from $89.95 to $99.95.

The plot, if not the tartar, thickens…

    • Jack must have visited.

    • Also its no longer a plus item so says $10 postage wtf?

      • now it's showing free postage for me.

        • +2

They just put in ebay plus for it too!

    • -1

      whats the link?

  • +5

Neg from me , I never am able to get the items I want . The item is sold out before the town even starts .

  • +1

    wow…. neg more than 130.

    • +3

The whole sale was a shambles. I cancelled my eBay+ subscription as a result of this debacle.

  • Code for the toothbrush?

    • PTOOTH20

      • PBRUSH20 what about this one?

        • "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

  • Here we go!

  • +4

I'd rather have reasonable discounts that can be accessed normally than these crazy sales that cause so much frustration for most potential buyers - most of whom probably end up empty handed or buying something that they didn't really want just so they ended up with something from all their efforts.
I love a bargain and buy plenty of things I don't need but still couldn't be bothered wasting my time trying to get something useful from this sale. IMO, I'd rather have Amazon's Prime day sales or X% off sitewide on eBay (without pricejacking) than these limited volume/low price sales that sell out in no time. Good luck to those who were lucky enough to get a bargain from today's sale. I didn't bother trying, knowing that in all likelihood I would have come up empty handed and frustrated.

    • To be fair, even if it were reasonable discounts like 20%, they still aren't going to have 300 or 400 stock.

Supply would be the same or less. All it does is reduce the demand. It will lead to fewer unhappy people, but not more happy people.

      • +1

But if it's a site wide sale there'd be 1,000's and 1,000's of different items on sale - not just 10, most of which sold out in minutes. So I suspect there would be a lot more happy people but probably a lot less excited as those who got some of these bargains. And if there's fewer unhappy people and no additional happy people isn't that a good thing?
I'd be interested to know how many items were bought in this sale by people don't really want/need but they bought just so they could say they got something for all of their efforts. That's different to buying something you don't need just because it's a bargain - which I do regularly. They're buying cos they have to get something at a crazy price and I suspect a lot in this category will regret wasting their money.
        Anyway, each to their own…
