Not the same product. The one on eBay was a "Pro 2 2000", and the one you've linked is a "Pro 700". The one that was sold on eBay is $159 on the shavershop store: https://www.shavershop.com.au/oral-b/pro-2-cross-action-elec...

      •

Anyone know the difference? I have the 700 model and it's excellent. I've also just bought this 2000 pro model.

    •

You mean it was pre-jacked to look like a bigger saving? And now they miraculously have stock again a few hours later?

  • +6 votes

Time waste. I am going to cancel my Ebay plus membership after trail period.

    • +5 votes

You can cancel it now, it will still work until the end of the period.

I am in Sydney. If anyone wants sodastream happy to swap it with oral b toothbrush.

For a moment there my screen obscured "b toothbrush". ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I said 3 hail Mary's, and refreshed the page, and all is now good.

    •

Will you consider a Nintendo WII + 4 games for the sodastream?

      •

Want to trade a nerf gun for the wii and games?

      •

Hello. I bought a sodastream which I can trade for a Nintendo wii and 4 games.

    Worst birthday ever.

So to end the day I missed the hub and Bose I wanted but I did manage to get towels, pan, nerf gun and toothbrush!

  • +2 votes

Another 8 home hubs just got sold…weird!

  •

Well I sat this one out after missing the beauty treatment, so glad I did. eBay is just excruciating these days and nothing I wanted, not worth wasting your day…

  •

6 earphones just got sold WTF

  • +1 vote

Negging because I tried for the Lego Harry Potter, the home hub and the Beats and just like everyone else, everything sold out before it even POSTED to the deals page. This deal was ridiculous. You had to guess the code, guess the listing, have it in your cart, AND not use paypal. The closest I got was the Bose headphones, but the code didn't apply even though I AM an ebay plus member. You really dropped the ball here ebay

    • -1 vote

      I used paypal.
I didn't have it in my cart ready to go.

  • +1 vote

OMG I just managed to get a Towel somehow 3 went available

  •

Wtf how?? I keep missing out when they come back

  •

And the birthday presents keep on coming, with the new Switch available at $364 via code PEACHY15 code!

I got the order placed screen for headphones 15 minutes ago but no email confirmation yet…hope it's just a long delay!

    •

hey did you get the one at 11:48??

      • +1 vote

No around 11:53, it's not showing in purchases or paypal either! Fingers crossed

        •

I was constantly refreshing from 11:15 pm. I missed the one around 11:15, and managed to get the 11:28 into cart and checkout. Instead of getting checkout message, I got a verify account message. Like that would have been mine. Then 2 more released at 11:48 and I got it! Heart was beating so fast. Hope you got the other one at 11:48 too!

and can a mod please change my neg to a + please?

          •

@I Smell Pennies: Did you get the confirmation email? I'm going to be annoyed if it doesn't show up now!

            • +1 vote

@snrub: Yes I did, right instantly. And $20 taken out of my bank too!

              • +1 vote

@I Smell Pennies: At least one of us got it for sure! Congrats

                • +1 vote

@snrub: Thank you! All my hopes to you now, hope you got the other one!

                  • +1 vote

@I Smell Pennies: According to ebay chat my order was successful, they can't explain what happened with confirmation etc.

    •

What do, you mean? The bose ones went on sale again on midnight?

      •

well I mean the code did last right until about 11:55pm. so if the released some more you could still snag it for $20

Earphone wont arrive until next week apparently

      •

        how come you got both???

        • +1 vote

          Why wouldn't I?

        • +1 vote

I'm gonna guess a combination of skill, luck, decent internet, and spending a fair amount of time in the ozB comments?

  •

Got the towels and the toothbrush. Also tried for the earphones but didn't get that one.

Iโ€™d like to say Iโ€™m surprised at how eBay has handled this absolute shambles, but…. Iโ€™m not.
Canโ€™t say Iโ€™m keen on ever using them again for anything.

Dont leave, make one last purchase ;-)

      •

haha… no need, I'm still plenty salty about the bose never actually being listed on the deals page, and for being outsmarted by everyone else who gave their strategy more thought than I did.

        •

Yeah, after the home hub never showed I gave up looking on there.

  • +1 vote

Pods still available a day later.

  • +2 votes

    Worst "sale" ever.

  •

Can someone please respond to my query, I couldn't see the deal on the page and was out of stock the next minute.
What browser/device/code were you using for a successful purchase?

I guess ebay has learnt the way buyers purchased airpods, by adding them in the cart in the first hour and then checking out in the next, this new way of posting deals was completely untrackable. Was it all the guesswork you had to have to be able to make a successful purchase?

    • +1 vote

i used the ebay android app, saw it come up in the deals section, then went through that way (for the hub)

      •

        Thanks Spa,

It would be interesting to know the method applied by others.

Some of us worked out the listing/seller from the price listed. For example, only AllPhones had the Home Hub for $184.08. Then we worked out what the code would be in advance, which was a pretty simple solution (tried various codes at checkout [PHOME20, PGOOGLE20, PHUB20 etc.] before the sale time - if it was a valid code, it would say it "isn't ready yet").

Then it was a case of keeping an eye on the listing/seller, getting things in your cart ready, adding the code in on the dot, and hoping they don't do a switcheroo - which they did with a few of them. Part luck, part planning.

@JoelT: Did the same for the Bose earbuds.

          •

@JoelT: I did this but my home internet is just too slow. Missed out. Stupid NBN

          •

@JoelT: Amazing explanation, thanks you so much for this info, knowing this unique procurement process makes me feel a bit less frustrated :-)

  •

Bose earbuds have been dispatched. Quick shipping this time around.

  •

Now Ebay gave me a $23.85 voucher asking me to buy the google home hub as I missed out yesterday. No. Not interested.

    •

i would be happy to get for this price but didn't get that mail :(

      •

Don't need the email, it is just a rehash of the PEACHY15 code or whatever the current mass discount code is for that seller/item.

  •

Sodastream already arrived, however came with a smaller 40L bottle.. anyone else?

    •

I'll check, I note mine didn't come with the 4 'flavor capsules', did yours?

      •

None of them did. There was a disclaimer on the specs listed on the ebay page which said the flavour capsules were not included, but it certainly was advertised as a 60l gas bottle.

        •

Ah right right didn't even see that. Just checked and I got a 40L too, the box it came in says '1 starter canister' and came with an upgrade pamphlet to go for 60L next time, not sure if a starter is 40L or 60L

Their listing definitely shows 60L https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SodaStream-Value-Pack-Play-White...

          •

@Stormzors: Yes it's 60L in the description. Did anyone check with eBay customer service?

            •

@dcool75: I sent them a message yesterday but haven't heard anything yet.

I didn't get an upgrade pamphlet for a 60L as far as I'm aware.. that wasn't the orange/yellow licence was it?

@EDM: I got the reply from them.
The reply is as in the following,

Sorry for the confusion, our listing was partly incorrect - it should have said that this SodaStream starter pack comes with a 40Lt starter bottle, not a 60Lt one in the specification section.

As our listing was incorrect, we would like to offer you a $5 discount for the mistake.

When you need to exchange the 40Lt bottle, you will be able to exchange it for a full 60Lt one.

Please let us know if the discount is acceptable.

Apologies again for the incorrect listing.

              •

@EDM: I asked about that, basically when your canister is empty you can swap it out for a 60L one and you just pay for the gas. It's also on the size of the box

"When you swap over the gas cylinder they will automatically upgrade you to a 60L cylinder"

    •

      I got a smaller 40 L bottle too.

  •

    My bose earphone just arrived!
