  Hey guys, just thought I'd give my 2 cents.

  This is a great deal if your sim or phone plan is ending.

  What hasn't been mentioned in this post is the extra savings that stacks on top of this.

  If you sign up with Telstra for 12 months at $65 dollars a month (40GB + 20GB), they take off an additional $480. (It has to be done inside JB HI-FI)
  If you go to JB Hi Fi website, they have not yet updated the online catalogue regarding the Telstra phone plans and price reductions.

  The total cost of the sim only phone plan is $780.
  The total cost of the phone becomes $1079- $480 = $599 Outright (After you sign up for Telstra plan)

  In my opinion this deal is worth if you would like a cheap phone, which I believe is still relevant and somewhat decent for the price it is.

  However, if you're already on a phone plan, you'll have to decide for yourself.

    I calculate it this way…

    780+1079-480= 1379 - 1079 = 300/12 = $25/mo for (40GB+20GB) contract for a year + the phone

    My aldi $25/mo plan is 18GB+roll over no contract.

    So, to me, this looks like a good deal….

    Having said that…. I bought a reconditioned X for $760 which I use with my Aldi plan…… but I'm cheap.

  General public thinks this is a great deal, now it's only available at local store pickup, nothing in NSW, there are a couple left in QLD store I think.
