    Well in terms of preparing for the next time, since so many people called PayPal, this AU-UK-Gift-Card glitch has been over exploited, we might have just alerted eBay/PayPal to kill the hen this time, no more egg. It's not a deal from eBay after all. It'll be fixed any time.             @doweyy: I did call that number (mine is not banned for context). They told me there is nothing they can do, and I need to send a message via eBay. They also forced me to change eBay registered UK account to AUS.

            They also brilliantly told me if seller is unresponsive that I am covered by eBay money back guarantee …

          I don't believe they got 15K; they were just providing a hypothetical example on a strategy to harvest heaps. The person who got $4,000 said their accounts (both eBay and PayPal) got suspended. Another person said their GCs were cancelled.

                  And refund the coupon discount to eBay UK. So not the value of the GCs

    I'd like to know someone who using true primary address had there GC's cancelled and didn't at least get a refund . Australia consumer law and PP protection wouldn't let it happen . @ in unnecessary # s scaring people without a clue .

              @zipper1724: Use the codes to get the items 10% off then pay with the gift cards you won in this battle, so you end up stacking the discounts, like about (1-0.9x0.82)x100% off, about 26.2%, use that to buy something like Mate 30 Pro? It's too ugly though

        I echo this response. But with the vast amount of gift cards I assume they actually ran out of codes and need to generate additional codes. Might take some time to clear the backlog. Luckily I only needed to use exactly the number of gift cards that I received with 13 digits. Hope they come through soon though.

    From the fact they sent out invalid gift cards to orders, I think eBay won't able to fix this glitch real quick in the forseeable future

    Everyone here is saying they got 4 digits number while I got 2 shipment tracking numbers (I bought 2 cards) lol it is showing me the shipping process and now its "dispatched" and next will be "in transit". The tracking number is 21 digits and Track17 cant recognize the number. I am confused here :D

      Gift Cards always have a tracking number. It is just a reference number for digitally delivered goods it doesn't actually mean it is being dispatched. It means nothing. What we are referring to is the gift card email you received from [email protected] when you click on "View My Code" there is a 4 number code instead of the required 13 number code.

    I've checked on your gift card, and it looks like it's a stuck order caught up in eBay's API. Our team tried to fix this but, unfortunately, we could not fix this, and we have reversed the order.

    Anyonw know if there is a number to ring. I replied saying I don't want a refund but want the cards. I rang Paypal who said they are not affiliated. I want my gift cards. I went in and put a layby on something today.

      What cards were they, you mentioned JB in one of your posts? … Maybe cut your losses and try to get some discounted cards elsewhere? Auto-clubs do 4% off I think, and TheGoodGuys concierge do 5% off, or maybe place a wanted ad in the classifieds here, you might get lucky?
