    From their page -
    3. This item is suitable for the area with Standard Voltage 220V, if your local voltage is lower or higer than 220V, you must use the Voltage Adapter when charging.Or it will damage the item.

How does it go with 240V in Australia?

    • I've got the pro and the standard charger works fine in Aus

    • +1

      230v is aus power standard.

      • When the voltage standard was reduced from 240 to 230, I believe that meant we get jacked on power costs as a KWh is no longer the same VA hours.

        • +1

KWh stays the same, when the voltage dropped, current would have increased. Power(kWh)= Volts X Amps

          • @Tunblor: Were meters actually individually modified to account for this? Like those old ones that go round and round?

  • 120kg fatboi compatible?

    • It should work, but be prepared for more punctures than normal.

  • Can i use this in melbourne?

    • Yes, legally probably only on private property.

      • Are these legal in Sydney?

This is good price for pro version.

    • yeah the pro version pulls hard up hills, especially with modded firmware.

  • I can't wait for then to make them legal in Sydney, would change my life!

  • Legal in QLD? I’m a nube with these.
Can the software be modded to make them ‘better’ (basing question off previous comment).

  • These things are awesome and this seems like a good price for a nice scooter however until these things are legal in NSW I can’t take the risk of a fine. I think the fine is up to $2,200! I don’t agree with it but I can hardly justify buying one of these things as is.

    • Tell me more, does it go extra fast. In NSW and if so super keen to buy.

      • sorry, i clicked associated but i am not associated with banggood

  • Whats it actually like riding one of these in cities? It's too slow to ride on the road with cars, but probably too dangerous to ride on the footpath in busy areas. Seems best suitable to bike-lane type commuting. Any one able to comment on their experience?

    • I've ridden once in the city on the footpath, too quick and pedestrians yell at you.
I wouldn't want to ride on the road when its peak hour.

Bike lanes are the best as although not direct, you avoid all the traffic and ends up being quicker. Just get a few dirty looks and comments from the middle aged lycra warriors on their carbon fiber bikes :)

    • They ride well in the cities, just like a bicycle. I ride mine on the roads, in Queensland suburban roads are fine.
They are brilliant on the bikeway.

I have seen a few people riding Xiaomi scooters in NW Sydney, going to the Metro stations, and on footpaths, even one guy riding to the Metro station the other morning, passing 2 Highway patrol police cars while riding it on the footpath.
I'm wondering if in NSW, are these scooters going to be treated like Uber was, where it was illegal at first, but everyone just did it anyway until it's wasn't?

  • What’s warranty like with banggood?
