      Got my key today, submitted claim 3 days ago. Did you use the serial number from the packaging or the SSD itself? The 15th digit is only listed on the actual unit whereas the the package has 14 digits. Bit strange

    Samsung changed their T&C's so now it can take up to 28 days for the code to come (yes im that guy who reads T&C's). Yeah I'm not gonna do these samsung promotions anymore…

      i bought some amd stuff - a 3600 cpu and 5700xt and amd gave me my codes within mins. Samsungs effort is poor. I wouldn't have bought the ssd if i knew it was this bad

        Is this kind of behaviour legal? Only reason I decided to buy this SSD versus another cheaper one with same capacity is because the Borderlands 3 deal made the cost difference acceptable for me. I accepted the purchase terms with BL3 being available within 2 weeks… Anyone know?

          It's not that hard to email out a code.

          I purchased a 3600 cpu and 5700xt a few weeks ago and amd sent the game codes out within minutes

          It's not illegal, but it's definitely frustrating.

          1) Why isn't it instant verification if I've provided a valid serial number and receipt?

          2) And why, even after receiving an approval email, I still have to wait 14 days or more?

          All it does is infuriate consumers and make them less brand loyal towards Samsung. Total own goal here.

    I've emailed them. Stated on the validation:

    "Please note as per the Terms and Conditions, the eligible claimant will receive an email to their nominated email address within 14 days from the date their claim is deemed valid, which provides a code which the eligible claimant is required to redeem."

    read on another forum that someone contacted Samsung yesterday and they stated the developers weren't sending out the cd keys and to wait another month. Also that there was only 1 guy handling each customer manually.

        Pretty sure it's Epic that has control over the release of keys for PC platform. 2k doesn't have much say now that they are in the contract for the distribution for PC keys via Epic, is that right? It's shit that Epic has dicked us and Samsung by not having their shit together with releasing the more keys!

      That's such crap. The T&C's stated on the website originally had 14 days.
      They've updated them, which is evidently obvious in the T&C file name which has the date stamped as Oct 3rd.
      So when we purchased, it was 14 days.

    update from the hundreds on whirlpool forums in the same boat as us

    "So made several calls with Samsung, here is what I found out.

    1, Samsung has not yet secured any game codes from 2k, and they are still negotiating the terms.

    2, the now "28 days" is just a temporary solution, and Samsung can not guarantee to send out codes after 28 days.

    3, no game code has yet been send out.

    All above information is obtained from Samsung customer support.

    I've already contacted NSW fair trading and I encourage everyone to do the same with your local consumer protection agency.

    wow they dont even know if they can secure codes yet. Surely you cant advertise something that is false. They should reimburse us the rrp of the game then.

          What Samsung has done in this promotion is definitely not allowed in Victoria. Look at the examples and the description text. This is purely misleading conduct if they didn't have the supply secured before promoting BL3 as a free gift with the SSD. Samsung has no grounds to stand on saying that they weren't able to secure the supply. As shit as it is, Samsung now has to give us the full RRP of BL3 or find us a BL3 supply immediately.

          I recommend other people file complaints too. Only way to make them not try this nonsense again.

    After you receive the key, how do you download the game? I went direct to Epic Games and there is nowhere to insert the code for a download of the game.
