Dominos giving away 1000 free pizzas following tonight’s game. If GWS win they will give away 1,000 Large Chicken, Bacon & Avocado pizzas. If the Tigers win, they instead give away 1,000 Large Fire Breather pizzas.

Note game is at 230 so it’ll be sometime after that when the winner is announced!

Entrants must follow @Dominos_AU on Instagram. Offer valid for limited time only and while vouchers and stocks last. If GWS win the game on Saturday 29/09/2019 Saturday 28/09/2019, we give away 1,000 Large Chicken, Bacon & Avocado pizzas. If the Tigers win, we will give away 1,000 Large Fire Breather pizzas.     I don't understand the logic of this promotion. It's the weekend on one of the big sporting event in Australia this year. Tonight is guaranteed the busiest night for Domino stores across the nation.

    Why do you make small percentage of your customer delay their purchase because they are waiting for this deal?

      Its probably coming on Monday as sales are slow on Monday.

      My guess is that they don't want people not spending money buying pizzas during their peak-hour period (however long that lasts) so they will most likely wait until after that to release the code/voucher.

      Considering that it is Grand Final weekend something tells me that that peak-hour window just got larger and we are going to be waiting for quite a while still.

    Smart marketing by Dominos.

    They probably got a bunch more followers on Instagram as a result of this promotion, and they did it without violating the terms and conditions of said promotion.

    I doubt that they care about people who just followed for a free pizza with the intention of unfollowing as soon as they claimed it.

    Pretty surprised that people are prepared to invest hours refreshing a page for the sake of an item worth less than $10 that they aren't guaranteed to win. I doubt many people on here are happy to work for anything less than $20 per hour in their employment.

    I'd say the codes will probably be released on Monday when their social media / marketing people are back in the office. Doesn't make sense to give them out on the busy evening of the Grand Final or Sunday when they usually tack a 10% surcharge on to orders.

                If my predictions are correct, it's likely the codes for the free pizzas will be published by the time your ad complaint is even considered. If this happens them it's unlikely that your complaint will be upheld.

      You do understand that neg voting for "unobtainable" is more of a comment against the poster than the provider of the deal?

      The deal title is misleading as is the paraphrasing of the terms and conditions. None of that is the fault of Dominos. Nowhere in any of their advertising do they mention "Free Pizzas on 28/9".

        The wording of the actual terms and conditions and the posts on Dominos social media ("Keep a lookout for our update very soon!") would suggest to the average person that the deal would be active pretty soon after the end of the match. Good on them for getting a bunch of extra Insta followers, but it looks and acts like really cynical marketing from Dominos.

        FWIW, we were going to get the 3 for $20 deal tonight - the code is saved in my phone - but now we're going to cook dinner instead. Probably better for our health anyway.

          I would also agree, except those weren't the two statements that were made.

          The promotion probably won't be unobtainable because Dominos will presumably publish the codes within the next day or so.

          The promotion is definitely unobtainable if you choose to believe OP's paraphrasing of the deal. OP only had the terms to go on when the deal was posted, so any subsequent social media posts would not have affected OP's paraphrasing.

          Probably better for our health anyway.
