  • Hi rep, what kind of warranty do you provide?

  • This seems like a pretty good price, but having been patient and lurking here, reddit, whirlpool, it sounds to me like you'd really want one with either larger wheels or suspension - for safety, hitting a bump is a big difference with slightly bigger wheels / suspension

    • Adds weight.

Just watch out which state you are in. They are illegal in some. Ie. NSW

Might also attract the wrong type of attention /:

      • Yeah that's Robina though. So much gang violence going on at the moment. Seems like Coomera, Varsity and Robina are in the news every other day with youth violence. Need more police on the GC.

        • My mrs was walking along from Robina to Varsity with my 2year old when some kids (5 teenagers) were harassing her just last week. She felt intimated and started running and tripped over with the pram. Son hit the pavement luckily just busted his lip but was bleeding. She ran into a coffee shop for help until I came..

        MY FRIEND 'GUY'S HOUSE

Obscure reference sure; but those who appreicate it, will.

    • I see heaps of people riding electric skateboards and even those unicycle-segway type things. There doesn't seem much police interest in cracking down on those.

Thanks for the post op. Badly want to invest in one and ditch car parking in Adelaide CBD. Wish the trial (Adelaide City Council with Beam/Lime) here was over and Govt can make a decision (or not).

Anyone here have experience riding one in the Adelaide CBD? Also how would this go up Frome St hill?

    • +2

I've ditched my daily parking for 4 weeks. Best investment and time saver.

      • What do you do with the scooter at work? Put it under your desk?

        • its slim enough to stand straight on the side of the desk

    • They'll make a decision - either ban them, or only permit people to ride on the ones provided by those third-party mobs. Our government is too stupid / too much of a nanny state to just allow anyone to use their own devices :(

      • +5

Yeah, but they're also too stupid to notice you just put a 'lime' sticker on your BYO scooter :p

    • Are these the same as the model used by RIDE? If so I've seen them go up Frome.

Anyone riding these outside of Adelaide CBD? I'm not game enough to ride my personal ninebot in the burbs yet, dont like the idea of getting demerit point fines for riding a scooter

Any cheap deals on the Pro?

  • +2

In terms of warranty would purchasing from Banggood be the same as purchasing from the GearBite eBay Store? I've been waiting to get one of these for under $500, this could be the one

  • Does anyone know a comparison between these, and lime?

    • +1

      These are less sour.

  • Whoo, express shipping and sub $500!

Pretty good price, but I'd say it is far from "ultra light". Also, make sure you get a few spare tires

  • Are we allowed to bring it with us in international flight?

    • I seriously doubt it.

      • Unlikely because of the battery it carries. You won't be able to check it in and it isn't something you can carry on.

  • Is this the same scooter as this other deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/486688
They seem the same, and neither comes with extra accessories (like spare wheels) so is there a difference in warranty?

    • +1

All I can say is that spare tires is a necessity. Always keep a couple available. It's a known and common issue unless you swap out with tires that doesn't require an inner tube.

  • Wow that was fast delivery, had it on Friday
