isn't it generally cheaper just buying a prepaid when you arrive in the country?

    • From experience a two week sim card in Japan goes for around AUD50 depending on where you buy. YEN to AUD isn't favourable either. This deal is better with the discount in comparison.

      • We got ours from a deal on ozb for our last trip to Japan. 14 days with 1gb per day for about $40

        • Hey BF, what were the speeds and general experience like in Japan?

          • @Kyuss09: Have used several roaming sims in Japan and most are speed limited.

Coverage is great almost everywhere and YouTube low quality worked fine on trains etc but I found the top speed to be around 1-2mbps.

            • @henrus: The one I used was never speed limited. Not that I noticed anyways. I made sure that I got one that was 1gb per day rather than the ones that give 5gb per period and then throttle the speeds.

          • @Kyuss09: Speeds were great. Never had a problem. If anything, better than metro Melbourne

      • fair enough - don't know the prices for japan, however for other asia countries like singapore, malaysia, philippines it is cheaper to purchase in country on arrival.

  • Looking to travel to Japan for 15 days.

    • You have come to the right place. :)

Good price on the USA AT&T 30 day 8gb. Works out better than purchasing in country, especially with the current exchange rate. Thanks for the deal.

  • Just ordered 2 SIMs. Thank op!
