@ndftz: Fair enough, thanks for sharing with us your experience. How come you didn't contact the rep maybe yours was a faulty product just in case prior to throwing out a brand new $300 mattress out the door after barely a few hours of use…

            • @AloMel: Not with their eBay store, only if you bought on their website and then the price is many times higher.

          • +3

@ndftz: This is one of the best descriptions I've read. "That's kind of all you need to know. It's squishy but doesn't hold you evenly , the down bits of your body like shoulders have to work all night to keep the other bits of your spine raised." - so accurate! I wrote something similar above.

    Great mattress
I bought one about a month ago and it was much better than anything I have used before

That said I do like a super firm mattress to the point that I have never been able to find one anywhere that's firm enough for me, I got the black label and even though I'd prefer it to be firmer it's the best mattress ive had yet
Most people would think it's a firm mattress though - I'm just a freak

Oh and I found out they had an even firmer mattress after I got mine - I will definitely give that one a go next time

    • +2

The firmer one is super firm like sleeping on a wood plank they don’t have anything in between unfortunately

      • Sounds perfect!

      • the firmer the better for your body. also remove pillows and have good frame support under the mattress.

We spend 1/3 of life sleeping, I would not cheap out on a mattress.

A chiro costs a lot more, just saying. I've been there. Literally.

    • +1

For me, the advantage of say $2000 mattress over $200 is negligible.

    • +14

FYI, chiros aren't real doctors and what they do has little basis in medicine. Would not cheap out and use them, see a real specialist.

Personally, my last $2,500 mattress was great for 5 years, then went horrible and caused me significant back pain. Only had a 5 year warranty and lasted about 6 months beyond that.

Simply because something is expensive doesn't make it good.

      • Yeah, steering clear of the "chiro endorsed" mattresses from these guys too…

We had an Ikea mattress that went bad after about eight years. As that particular mattress was no longer stocked, they gave us a credit for the original purchase price off any new one we wanted. Picked their firmest and it has been pretty good ever since.

I do need a cheapy single mattress now though, and these sound OK to try out. Concern is delivery really, do they give you a delivery window so that you can arrange to be around?/

        • +2

Problem is every brand says chiro endorsed these days. Might as well be endorsed by a scientologist for all that's worth.

I didn't get a delivery window, I ordered on a Sunday, was given a "will be delivered by Friday", turned up on Tuesday. Lucky I happened to be there.

Considering how cheap it is, and I get curbside pickup for large recycling in my suburb, it's a risk worth taking. Been great the first few weeks, backpain I had from my old mattress has gone away and am sleeping better.

          • +1

@freefall101: Mmmm, tricky… I live in an apartment, so can drop off hard waste downstairs 365 days of the year for $0, so that's not a problem. Getting stuff delivered in the first place can be more of a pain though, if they don't give a delivery window then it's a real pain, much of the time nobody is home.

Edit: bought, let's see how it goes.

    • +3

Nice life policy but what’s even more dumb is people pay more for what u think is a better mattress Due to marketing bullshit and the price they pay.. that is probably as good as this one. Each to their own.

This bed is popular here. Is it the Xiaomi of bedding?

  • Out of stock. Need to be quicker next time.

    • Back in stock.

      • Was out of stock again. And now back in stock again.

Seriously good value. Two years old and very comfy. Banished back issues I had with a futon.

    Recommended.

I've had one for about a year. Best mattress I've had by far. I like a medium firmness, so this fits the bill perfectly.

Just bought a double mattress recently but disappointed with the delivery process. The delivery man called when arrived and I asked him to buzz my unit number. He informed me to come down and that 'he wasn't allowed in the building' so I'll have to bring up the mattress by myself. Never in my life I had a delivery man asking the customer to collect and carry such a heavy and bulky item. I told him I'm just a 5 foot and that I won't be able to carry it up myself. He then insisted that I go find someone else who could help me to bring it up. Desperate, I said OK let me check if my neighbour (whom I never even met before) would be able to help. He sighed in annoyance and said fine, I'll come it up for you. When meeting him downstairs, the boxed mattress was already on his dolly and didn't even take 3 mins for him to deliver to my door. Not surprisingly he just left it on my kitchen floor and got out as quick as he could. I had shared this feedback with ZZZ Atelier who hasn't addressed my feedback

I was worried about the same thing but thankfully hunter express delivered to my apartment directly. What I made sure is when I placed the order on eBay I specifically mentioned that I am in an apartment and that the delivery guy has to bring it up using the elevator. Then after I was given a tracking number I called up hunter express and explained to the lady and she said she will let the driver know. On the day the driver called me I met him downstairs and helped him out with opening doors and keeping elevator open etc. I think the key with these hunter people is to communicate before hand and to give them a little bit of a hand.

FYI in the past when I ordered sleeping duck the delivery guy dumped the mattress in front of the building door and ran away without informing me no kidding. I found out when the building security complained as it had my name on it, Thankfully my neigbours helped me bring it up as it’s too heavy for one person. So this issue is not unique

My husband and I bought a queen size black label from them a couple of months ago. We both like it. It is comfortable and we sleep well on it. It is A LOT better than our previous mattress which cost substantially more. I was quite dubious about getting a cheap eBay mattress that comes rolled up in a box but figured at this price it was worth the risk. Even if we only get a couple of years out of it before it needs replacing, it is still worth it.

I might get it for my toddler..they weigh no more than 20kg and it'll be nice for them to used to sleeping on a full sized mattress

  • Ahh that'd be right, just woke up from my first sleep with my new mattress and see this deal. I just got the Kogan ergolux foam mattress. It was $320 after discounts for a queen which is still relatively cheap but this would be even cheaper and potentially softer. Great great love that.

  • Anyone have experience with returns? Got one in the previous sale but it's too soft and gives me back pains.

    • Yeah they have 30 day return so be quick

Whats the best mattress review site?

I like the price and looking for firm but super rigid support more so.

pocket spring with no pillow top?

  • -5

How can this not be astroturf the mattress is unbelievably bad

    • +7

Suggestion noted…about half a dozen times.
      Give it a rest.

  • Is there a base that people recommend for this mattress?

  • is the black model for 60-70kg people sleeping in it or it will be too firm?

also, anyone has experience using this mattress with Malm with Ikea Luroy slatted bed base ?

currently, using 100% latex mattress (the whole mattress) and its now sagging (after 8 years) aching my back and neck and shoulder..

  • is it coming back in stock again?

  • When will this be back in stock?

    • Message the seller. That’s what I did yesterday morning and they put more in stock.

    Tempted, but…

    Chiro Endorsed

    Hmmm, maybe not.

Edit: some not chiro endorsed, probably a better option.

    • Whats wrong with chiro endorsed mattress?

      • +2

Probably nothing, just an irrelevance - I might as well go for a plumber approved mattress, or a vet approved mattress or whatever. Chiropractic is a pseudoscience and its use in advertising offends me, so I'd rather avoid it.

  • Back in stock!

  • how long is delivery usually?

  • Arrived, delivery was very fast to Melbourne 3000 (bought Tuesday, arrived Thursday). Delivery was a bit crap though; no tracking info showing, and expected delivery of Monday 14 provided, so I wasn't at home to receive it. Got a call saying it'd be delivered in five minutes, luckily my wife was still around so all good - but we live in a high rise, my wife has carpal tunnel issues at the moment and is wrangling a 4yo child as well, and Couriers Please (delivery company) refuses to bring the mattress up, insisting that injured wife + child have to come down to collect it.

So +1 delivery time, -1 delivery service.

    • which one did you buy? review pls after trying :) I am on the fence whether to get one or not.

      • +2

Bought "Super Firm Mattress w/ Extra Firm Pocket Spring Ultra HD Foam".

Only slept on it one night, after letting it sit for 24 hours as directed, but good so far. Firm, which I like. Vastly better than what I have been sleeping on, but then… I have been sleeping on a thin, ting 100% foam Ikea thing for the last four years so that's a very low baseline.

So the first hurdle is crossed (got here, inflated, comfortable for the first night) but will it remain comfortable?

Given the price I assume that a) it probably won't last all that long, and b) maybe at that price it doesn't matter if it doesn't.

        • +1

Just ordered same. Hoping the latex topper coming this week enhances it.

          • @Speckled Jim: I hate toppers and don't understand why anyone would want them (could say the same for soft mattresses) - but obviously many do, so hope it works out for you!

        • +2

I have had my Black Label, not firm, for 18 months. Still very good.

  • +1

After allowing the Super Firm to expand for three days, finally tried it last night.
Teamed with this 50mm latex topper, it seems to be exactly what we hoped for.

    However, early days yet.

    • +1

Funny the topper cost maybe half of the mattress price. Please update us in the future. I am thinking of the super firm for my next mattress purchase.

      • +1

Yep, just over half mattress cost but decent latex ain't cheap! Oddly, the Queen is $30 cheaper than Double.

Comments will be closed here after a time, so will cross-post in the newer one(s).

      • +1

Plenty of time to comment yet.

Three weeks in and very pleased with the combo. We previously had an AH Beard (IIRC) that the sales guy termed "The Brick". That was slightly firmer than the Zzz Extra Firm. It was like laying on a thin foam mattress on a hardwood floor. Great for back sleepers, but we'd get pressure pain at shoulders and hips from side-sleeping.

Anyway, if that was a 9/10 firmness, this is an 8/10. Combined with the 50mm latex, it allows very comfortable side sleeping and is also very firm if on your back. We're falling asleep earlier and there's less (conscious) tossing-turning.

In fact, the only discomfort for me is due to my bed clothes. I should probably do it properly and get naked for bed?

  • restocked and PATRON20 gives 20% until 29/10.
