      • Awww oh well was contemplating grabbing one, probably best that it has gone up as I just measured 75 inches against my wall to see how big the TV would be…. My first thought was that's just f'ing ridiculous!

  • Tempted on the 82 inch Samsung or 75 inch sony. Would love any input from anyone familiar with these TV's or any other suggestions before I pull the trigger!

  • Seems that's the (equal) cheapest the LG C9 55 has been? And even better if you managed to get 10 or 19% gift cards (I didn't…sigh)

  • How does one get a tax invoice for warranty purposes after purchasing from Good Guys eBay? I've saved the PayPal and Good Guys emails, but is that enough for warranty purposes?

    • Email them if they haven't sent one already. Might not come until delivery also. Could just be the sales or postage forms then once everything is processed they'll send you one.

  • Hey guys I was going to grab a C9 OLED but in one review it says it does not support HD10+ which was a negative point, otherwise gets great reviews.

Will that impact the future proof of purchasing this model not having HDR 10+?

    • +2

It has Dolby Vision which is slightly better anyway. More Blu-Rays have DV instead of HDR10+… Also available on Netflix and Amazon. You'd rather have Dolby Vision - much more support with better brightness and colour rendering, it can store more metadata than HDR10+. Only TV company that doesn't support DV is Samsung because they don't want to pay the licensing fee.

    • In addition to what @monstalova said:

None of the current TV's actually really support HDR10+ anyway because they don't have the required peak brightness.
The C9 is futureproof in every other way being the only TV in 2019 to support HDMI2.1 which along with variable frame rate is more important than the current fake HDR10+ support.

  • Ah raspberries. I Hesitated on the 75r7 and now it's gone. I was thinking I'd be better off waiting for another good deal on the 65r8, but the more I think about it the more I think the extra screen real estate is worth it over a better panel. What are the chances there'll be another decent deal soon??

    • Nope you snooze you loose. Full price on all tellies until 0 next year I hear.

  • Anyone been able to bargain a KD75X9500G down to $3,196 at Good Guys or elsewhere?
