Or You can get it for $1999 @ JB Hi-Fi or HN if that is nearby ;-)

The Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI is a professional quality film making drone that gives you the ability to get closer to the action, thanks to its 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with a 1/2.3" 12MP sensor. With 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) you can capture sensitive subjects from an even greater distance. There's even a single-tap aerial mode called Dolly Zoom that gives a Hitchcockian effect to your footage.

The Mavic 2 Zoom utilizes a low-drag aerodynamic body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting. This power and performance are coupled with a variety of shooting modes and capabilities for cinematic results.

In order to help keep the Mavic 2 Zoom safe and in control, DJI has provided OcuSync 2.0 video transmission technology that can transmit a video feed to the included controller from up to 5 miles away in Full HD 1080p quality. There's also omnidirectional obstacle sensing that provides object avoidance with sensors on all sides of the Mavic 2 Zoom.

Just got my email with a $250 voucher.
For reference, I ordered at 08:20 AEDT to pickup in ACT. I paid with PayPal, and didn’t receive any confirmation (other than PayPal receipt).

Good luck to people who ordered earlier.

    • +1

Same here. Pickup in ACT, ordered around the same time and only got the paypal receipt. Was too late to get the drone but got the $250 voucher. Thought the voucher email was a scam till I came back here to check lol.

    • 08:21 AEDT with a QLD order and just came through with the voucher.

  • I don’t need the drone but ordered it because it’s cheap.
Thanks OP and Bunnings for $250 gift card, time to spend for the gardening stuff and tools.

  • $250 GC too. I would have been happy even with a $10 to be honest. Props to Bunnings.

btw, to those with the GC. It looks like it has to be used all at once in 1 transaction.

    • Wt does max change given $9.95 mean?

      • They will pay out the change in cash if it's less than $10

    • Can you buy multiple $50 gift cards with it?

  • +3

Massive hats off to Bunnings for this.
Would be costing them an absolute fortune.
Let’s say they did have those reported 3000 orders.

    3000 x $250 = $750,000.
Quarter of a million dollar error + all the time and effort from the staff/management that is going into the recovery of this. Whoops..

    • Don't forget the 3% for pYpal refunds now

    • +1

Time to short some Wesfarmer stocks.

    • They're giving out that amount in gift cards so are losing out a lot less in terms of cost price. Still not insignificant though!

  • +4

LOL might actually put this 250 bucks towards a mavic at bunnings

  • Got my $250 email and ordered at around 8:10.

Kudos to Bunnings but great publicity for them too!

  • 740 order - $250 gift card

  • Also got the $250 voucher email. For a minute, I thought it’s a phishing email - someone is trying take advantage of the price error and spam/phish random email address

    • Haha me too!

      • Ditto

  • Got the $250 gift card email too. That is amazing Bunnings, hats off!! love it. :D

    Edit: order at 6:46 am.

  • +1

The ultimate ozbargain move would have been to make 8 accounts, each with a drone purchase, then used the $250 vouchers to purchase the drone for free.

    • If only there was a way to predict the future.

      • Surely there was a voucher for a clairvoyant reading available around the time?

    • Only problem is the drone at $1700 is rip off !

Better off figuring out another way to cash em in .

      • It would have been $0, which I think is good value for money.

  • Thanks OP and Bunnings.

Order was 7:47. Paypal and invoice received. Got $250 gift card too

  • 0824 AEST paypal order, $250 voucher received.

  • Wow, I got the $250 code too…. that's insanely generous from Bunnings.

    • Amazing. I was expecting $10 gift card at most. Even the $50 gift card was quite generous already.

      • Yeah, me too!

      • This, didn't care if I just got a refund, but $250 is extremely generous.

  • All right, $250 worth of Power X Change 4AH batteries tomorrow.

  • I ordered at 0807 yesterday, amex, no email or anything so far…

    • update.. just got the email with my $250 voucher

      • Is it through the email that linked to your PayPal account?

  • wow!! received email …they honoured the pricing till they ran out of of stock and then sent $250 gift voucher to me as they had no more stock

  • ugh missed out on this as I was buying a PC lol. Props to Bunnings tho an A+ response.

  • According to my screenshot, payment was successful at 8:08am. Paid via PayPal for pick up. So we can rule out they’re issuing cards by time ordered

  • Still left in the dark here, I may have be one of the few getting the drone. Knowing my luck, there's about a 100% divide by 100 chance.

    • +1

So 1% chance? Not bad odds tbh

      • Got a $250 voucher ha! Refund being processed, should be in monday/Tuesday

        • Did you just get a call??

          • @0lllllll0: I never got a call neither did my partner but as just got an email detailing the $250 voucher and apology and PayPal refund in the PayPal account

  • The hour has come - got my $250 gift card via email. Ordered around 7:50am

  • +1

My heart skips a bit when I see a new email notification.

  • Holy smokes! $250 gift card. Way to go Bunnings, never expected that. Overkill if you ask me, but that's certainly one way to keep the customers happy!

  • Best friday!!!!! Bunnings my hero!

  • Wow received 250$ gift card voucher 😅💦

  • Got my $250 gift card, kudos to Bunnings. Was only expecting a full refund but bravo to Bunnings. For reference, ordered at 7:45am.

  • If i was a westfarmer shareholder, I would be very curious about how bunnings have handled this..

    • +3

Building brand loyalty and getting people into the store, to spend more on other stuff. It also obviously isn't actually costing them $250, as they aren't selling the products at cost price. Probably better result at a lower price than a tv ad.

      • -1

They could have made ozbargainers happy with a 25 dollar voucher. Probably goes to show how much they are ripping customers off with their mark ups. It's a shame masters wasn't a successful venture

        • +3

They could have, but $250 is something that people remember, and it's an amount that can get you into tool platforms, which gets you spending more money in store. Clever play by them I think. People will tell friends and family about this.

        • I'm impressed that you've managed to twist a $250 voucher into some massive negative about how much they're ripping us off in general.
Would you have said the same thing if you got a $20 voucher? Would that have indicated they weren't ripping us off normally?

It's called a gesture of good will and brand reputation.

Let me guess, you didn't get one?

          • @Deviner: Bunnings are a monopoly, why would they need to go to such lengths

            • @mlburnian: Yeah I'm not debating that, but monopoly's don't normally hand out $250 vouchers to hundreds of people when they make a balls up.

So, kudos to them this time around.

            • @mlburnian: Bunnings may be a monopoly in the sense of an "all in one" store, but there are plenty of places that sell the exact same things that Bunnings do, plenty of competition technically.

    • This vs a negative perception of their newly launched portal. Nah, bunnings will rather keep everyone happy

  • Ordered 8:20 and got the voucher.
Hats off to Bunnings for their response. They've definitely went above and beyond with this price error.

  • Kudos to Bunnings and their generosity. $250 is massive. I reckon 90% of ozbargain would have been happy with $25 let alone ten times that amount.

    • +1

99.9% of businesses would just offer a gift card to the value of $0 for the inconvenience, and hold onto our funds for a week or more.

  • I just got the 250
    Paid through PayPal at 8.45am
    No email confirmation

  • +1

Ordered at 7:06. Got $250. Thanks Op and Bunnings.

  • +1

this is the first time ive seen these types of gift cards..

Use this Gift Card towards any purchase of goods at any Bunnings location in Australia. This Gift card can only be used once. When redeemed, the Gift Card must be relinquished to the cashier. Maximum change given is $9.95. No expiry date.

can someone please clarify what exactly Maximum change given is $9.95 means?

    • +3

Got to spend at least $240.05 to get full value

    • +2

Must be used on one transaction. If your transaction is lower than $250, they will issue you a change of max $9.95

      • That’s smart! Forces you to increase spending and hopefully buy more than $250 so you need to top up.

        • Can you use it to buy physical gift card?

  • got $250 gift voucher

  • Just got my email, ordered 8:03 Melbourne time

  • Do you guys think if we choose to pick up from a store, if the are 3 in stock the first 3 choose to pick up from that store will get it regardless of their time relative to others in the national pool?

    • Don't think many stores actually have them in stock hence the 'special orders'

  • +1

its better to rush bunnings before they realize another stuffed up thing.

    • people that rushed got $50 gift card

  • +1

I was sceptically thinking this was one giant OzBargain community pisstake about the $250 vouchers until I just received my email. What a way to end the working week. Kudos to Bunnings and of course the OP

    • Same here, I though people are trying to have a good laugh about the $250 voucher. As I'm still waiting on my email about the $250 Gift Card.

  • awesome consolation prize

  • Got my voucher, very happy

  • Ordered at 7:05am. Recieved the $250 gift card. This is insane!!! Thanks OP.

  • Waouh perfect timing. Was planning to go shopping to bunning tomorrow. Big kudos to bunnings.
