    Cheers doweyy. Great deal!

  • Yep great deal for a great mug. May want to mention it's only for the black version though.

    • Thanks, have updated :)

I have one and it didn't keep coffee hot that long, a bit disappointed.

Just recently got a zojirushi SM-KHE36AG travel mug off Amazon US. price keeps fluctuating for diff colours and sizes. Seems to be living up to the all the hype. I got the one with stainless steel interior so it is easier to clean. Hope it lasts.

        • $50+ delivered (no Prime) for the same size as the one in the deal.

        • +1

I got a Zojirushi as well, it's dangerously effective. Also several times now I've had ice cubes in the bottle DAYS later. It's all about preheating/cooling it. Once the interior comes to temp it stays there for ages.

      • +1

Did you preheat it? (Leave boiling water in it for a bit before dumping out and adding the coffee)

        • +1

          Did you preheat it?

I didn't but I have made the milk a bit hotter may try next time.

          • @superforever: You will absolutely get better results if you preheat it. Think of heat as energy. When you put something hot and something cold together, they will transfer energy and come to a temperature somewhere in the middle.

If you however put something hot inside of something already hot (where that something is also very good at maintaining a temperature) it will keep it hot for a long time.

            • @Thomasta3:

If you however put something hot inside of something already hot

As I mentioned I put hot coffee in but it won't keep it that hot for hours.

@superforever: Sorry, I don't think my explanation helped. I'm talking about your THERMOS being hot. Then putting hot coffee into it. You're putting boiling water into your thermos to make it hot, and then you can dump it out and put your hot coffee into it. That'll give you far better performance.

        • I don't.

    • This one's also bigger at 710 ml. The one in the deal is 473 ml.

    • This is autoseal. Your link is snapseal

    • Decided to pick one up since it was so cheap with the 12% shopback too. I've been using a zojirushi for 10 or so months now, I really like it and it doesn't hurt to have this one as a back up. Apparently the lid is dishwasher safe too, so it can be my lazy back up.

If you want two & are a Costco member they have 2 packs for ~$30 in different colours.

Rubber seal stretched on Contigo mug after a few weeks

    • +1

      haha ours have lasted years

  • How does this compare with Thermos flasks?

  • I had this, loved the original version apart from crud build up in lid; got this one to replace but mine leaked lots through the button. The "lifetime warranty" advertised on the label is non existent in Australia. Good price though & Amazon might do a better warranty than Contigo

  • From somebody who owns this mug, I have to say this is the best coffee mug I’ve ever owned. Not only does it stop things from leaking, but it does keep things hot for a very long time. Definitely recommend

    • Do you experience any leakage when sipping coffee from it. Like with some mugs, there are drops coming from here and there when you open and sip.

Would this and/or the 700ml linked in the comments fit in the cup holder in my car?

    • +2

Nah they’re all too wide for my cup holders in the centre console of my Mazda 3. They do fit in the one in the door though.

    • They fit all the cup holders in my Subaru Outback.

  • Purchased. Thanks op. Been on the look out for something like this.

  • Sweet, mine is a bit dank due to using it for coffee so I grabbed a new one for water. Cheers!!

  • If you took this to Maccas will they fill it up for you? If so, what size?

    • 16oz which is 473ml

      • So maccas large is equivalent to 16oz?

        • Yes

          S 8oz
          M 12oz
          L 16oz

  • Cheers OP got 2, our old one were getting dodgy.

  • Will give it a go

  • Had two of these for work coffees. I make my coffee at 7:30 and it was lukewarm by 11am. Now use Thermos Sipp tea flask and the difference is remarkable. Ended up giving the Contigo away.

      lol, 4.5 hours later.

      • +1

3.5 and the Thermos is still hot.

        • -4

          Who cares

          • @[Deactivated]: People who want a coffee mug that keeps coffee hot for a long time?

            • -1

@withgusto: Designed for coffe to drink on the go not 4.5 hours later lol.

              • @[Deactivated]: Read the product description: "Stays hot up to 5 hours or cold up to 12"

                • -2

@withgusto: For people to use, not interested in the description.

    • I have a thermos travel mug, and find it not fit for usual travel purpose, unless you let coffee cool before trip.

It is good for road trips if you aren't going to be stopping (or rather bring own coffee).
I use 2 travel mugs: a non-thermos for start of trip, then thermos for tomorrow - or nearly.

btw I think this deal is over. Can still get 2 for ~$30 - about the same price as current price for this item.

  • Thanks OP. Got two to try it out!

  • +1

got one of these and a thermos, has nothing on the thermos. you get what you pay for here

  • Already have 2 of these and they are great at holding the drink hot for hours ( as long as you preheat the contigo ( NOT Full boiling but just 70 degrees or so. Constant boiling water preheat tends to lead to seam breakage ( at least on other brands ). Have bought 2 more of these as backups cause eventually this sort of item will fail
