Demolished a pack of these a few minutes ago. My tongue’s on fire.

Give it 12 hours and you’ll feel something else burning

        Weak

      • Thought of this comment this afternoon while I was taking a shit.

NOOOOO, my sis got me some 3 weeks ago and I still get stressed thinking about the aftermath…

Looks like the shoe's on the other foot Mr Lord.

The puffs are horrible compared to the regular flamin' hot Cheetos. I haven't tried the Twisties though but are probably better than the puffs.

    • +1

      Well I love them so.

    • Just tried the Twisties one… Much spicier than the puffs.

  • Will have to hunt for this- my local didn't stock it last time I checked (also half price promo).

  • +1

    These are amazing.
    My favorite!

I’m pretty sure these made me vomit some kind of orange foamy bile.

I really should post this as a deal but if you want a really good snack for $1 the microwave popcorn from Aldi is amazing.

I forgot the name but it has some white on the packaging and not covered in many other colours I think just maybe some blue.

It basically has a lot more butter and salt than most other microwave popcorn.

Here is how I rate the microwave popcorn scene at the moment

I used to be big fan of the poppins blue packaging microwave popcorn because they would get as cheap as 69 cents a packet but Coles and Woolworths own home brand microwave popcorn destroys the blue famous poppins ones easy the problem is the poppins one has no flavour and they need to put more butter and a tiny bit more salt so you could argue they are going for a healthier market maybe.

The home brand microwave popcorn are great and for a long time the best but this new Aldi microwave popcorn I found is amazing like they generously give you thick wads of butter and salt so you can scrape your finger inside with each handful of popcorn and have a really good taste like almost as good as legit movie popcorn but legit movie popcorn is still better because the salt and butter is already spread on whereas Aldi microwave popcorn you have to kind of scrape the edges every time you eat some and if you try to run the popcorn on to the sides which I did many times you just end up making tinier popcorn pieces which are unappealing and not really getting any on the popcorn inside so you have to eat each part separately aka the popcorn the butter and the salt.

Bit yeah if you need a cheap $1 snack Aldi microwave popcorn is great.

I am alsolooking a fan of the ~85 cents salami stix they are good on the go and usually 2 or 3 will fill you up for under $3 and the packaging and everything makes eating and disposing of the rubbish easy.

Yet to try these flaming hot stuff.

    • Dasss hawt I will find it on my next Aldi visit

      • +1

Maybe I should put a disclaimer that it is so salty you might turn into a league of legends player or something bad when you eat too much sodium because it is loaded with it lemme tell you hwat.

        • +1

Yes I saw you said it's salty but you kept writing the recommendation so I thought it can't be that bad right if you're willing to be so passionate bout it?

          • +1

@capslock janitor: Oh it is good but if you have any sodium dietary precautions then it might not be so good lol that's all I am saying.

I am a garbage guts but getting older so I can put my body through a beating every now and then but I can feel my body saying stop pls stop every time I do it lol.

    • Brand is Chazoos. Are you taking about the red/orange packet (extra butter) or blue (light)?

Side note - I found it difficult to take a breath when reading your wall of text. :)

      • Sorry I tend to side on more info over less.

Pretty sure it might be the extra butter one but I swore it was blue.

I usually steer away from light as from my experience it just means popcorn with some salt and hardly any butter which is fine and healthy but I am a value whore.

        Yes Chazoos rings a bell.

Sorry don't have the receipt or packaging anymore I swear it was blue maybe I was just wishful thinking or assuming because poppins is mostly if not all blue which used to be my go to brand for years maybe over a decade before I switched to home brand and now Aldi recently.

        • value whore

          o.
          O!

          • @capslock janitor: Value makes me do things I normally wouldn't do.

            It is like my alcohol.

        • 1 put 1 tspspoon oil and 200-250g popcorn in a bowl and mix, put into a brown paper bag. Pop in microwave. Melt some ghee, put salt and melted ghee on popcorn. Mix then eat.

Its supposedly the milk solids that destroy the popcorns crunch.

          • @Seedy seed: Will have to try this but scared I might burn the microwave somehow knowing my track record.

  • +3

These are spicy but not that tasty, I can't be the only one who doesn't do cheese and spice, eck

    • The doritos are the same, should stick with what they know and bring back the sweet chilli by itself!

      • The sour cream and chilli CCs are great.

  • +1

man i tried the twisties ones and i could not eat it, too damn hot for me, is this better? i do like the puffy ones texture more

    • They're certainly hotter!

  • Guys plz try the original US ones some IGAs got them they $8 but it's different in a good way

    • are these puff similar to the Jalapeño ones you can get in the US? they are amazing…these look different though. might give it a try for half price though…

      • Yea they good but not as good as the original ones

  • +1

I love hot food and the after burn of extremely spicy food, but these chips are disgusting. They look and taste fake and have an artificial pink colour. Can't be good for you. Even the burn feels artificial

  • +1

I tried some of these after seeing Americans raving about Flamin Hot being the best Cheeto kind, but they don't even have flavour, it's all heat. The rest of my family couldn't handle them at all.
I really like the regular puffs though.

  • the twisties will be the closes to what i loved in the usa that were cheetos. get a nice burn going in and the bonus burn going out. have no plans for the rest of the day :) lol

These pricks are trying to sneak in a 100g to 90g reduction in size, for Twisties and Burger rings. Horrible.
