For all those saying it's a pricing error, the link to the reviews near the start of this thread shows that people have paid around $500 for this tv before. So hopefully you all get it.

    • +6

Those reviews are for smaller size models.

  • +3

Just noticed the 85P8M has gone back up to $2995 on their website. I've got a feeling this was supposed to go back up to $1695 but someone has missed the first digit… patiently waiting for my cancellation email lol

    • +2

Latest catalogue update has it at $1595. Most Likely pricing error…
And 85 P8M is listed on that catalogue at $2995.

    • +1

That would make this a $1000 off jackpot! Let’s see what happens

  • +3

Thanks OP ordered through GG’s website and got my confirmation email due for delivery tomorrow should have in time for cash back!! Rolled the dice let’s see how Lady Luck treats me

    • My confirmation didn't include due delivery date?

      • It allowed me to select a delivery date when I ordered I chose tomorrow which was first available

        • I just ordered on the website then there was no delivery date option. Edit: I think it depends on your location for delivery.

    • Available for pick up at my local GG, if I were going to buy I'd be on their doorstep at opening time…

      • Will these be able to fit in the back of a standard FWD?

  • +3

Missed the ebay deal! Bought one from GG site. $750 including delivery. So its $650 after TCL cashback. Crossing my fingers.

    • +1

Same here. I missed out on the ebay deal - but the website deal is still a bargain!

    • +2

same here .. another ozbargain impulse buy wtf 🤦‍♂️

    • +3

It’s worth the risk at $750 delivered. I’ve taken a chance. If they dont honour, it’s not the end of the world :)

    • +2

      Same here.
I really needed another TV since I saw it for cheap on ozbargain 😅

  • Wow, great deal but I just bought a Hisense 75R7 for $1600 last month. I would have saved ~$1000 with this one, LOL.

    • +3

HiSense has better picture quality from what I have heard.

    • +4

Don't feel bad. The Hisense destroys this one.

      • +1

Haha yeah that's true. I still don't know what to do with the 70" Sharp Aquos that I replaced the Hisense with :P.

        • That’s the problem with large screen TVs that wouldn’t die!

        • My 70” aquos is a POS. Can’t wait for it to die.

    • Haha…same. I have honestly been pretty disappointed with the 75R7 to the point where I'd rather have spent $500-$1000 more on a better TV or less on something like this and saved the money.

      • Huh,I can't fault the Hisense. Works as well for me as my Sony A8F OLED :).

  • +1

I bought one to be delivered tomorrow. Is it worth going to the local store to try to pick it up?

    • What do you think?

    • I think so. I've got a van though so it's handy as I'm working nearby.

      • +3

Surprised you didn’t select the 2 hour pickup if you had the van…. the sooner it’s collected the less chance of the deal being cancelled

        • I did

      • I don’t think it fits in anything smaller than a van though. I got SUV

        • Got roof racks?

          • @[Deactivated]: Nope. SUV with child seats :(

            • +1

@asinasin: No way it will fit in a SUV. You need a delivery van to fit a 75". That or trailer.

              • @hazzad: Damn. I’ll wait and hope for delivery then

  • +4

Picking mine up at 11am :)

    • +1

      Keep us posted.
      We will all know soon

  • +4

Last price error I bought from the TGG (Miele vacuum) I got a refund plus $20 gift card. However they refunded the amount before 20% eBay code so was still a good win!

    • +7

      Ssshhhhhhh…….they're listening

  • -1

(8108 clicks) Who the EF are these silent bargainers. If you do not comment before making a purchase you are not a true OZbargainer!

    • I’m sure close to 90% of people would not post on here and just jump on the deals

      • Probably more like 99%.

Near 9000 clicks with 300 positive votes and 213 comments and there are definitely a lot of comments from the same person.

        So 100/9000 = 1/90 = 99%

    • +12

Who comments before buying? That's a good way to miss out!

      • This is true.

    • +1

      Like the quiet Australians

    • This is not a chatroom.

  • +1

ARGH! The problem is, my living room is not that big. I've always been aiming for a 65" :S

    • +1

      Extend your living room

    • +2

      New house.

  • -2

    Back in stock now. Insane

    • What is going on?

      • Gone again

    • Is it on ebay? I checked the link but still saying not available

    • Are you sure? It shows as "Please enter a lower number"

      • There's 422 people watching so not surprising if it gets snapped up quickly.

    • False.

Still 0 available and same amount sold 441 since last purchase date around 5:16am or 3 hours 15 minutes ago.

You must be in lala land I know I will be soon because I have been up all night.

  • Bought (GG website).
Anyone has experience with delaying the delivery? We won't be available in the next few days. And I can't pickup.

  • Thought I would buy from their online site $320.00 delivery

    • That's odd - majority of people had $55 for shipping. Are you in a rural area?

  • +8

Missus tore shreds through me when I told her the size. Worth it if it doesn't get cancelled.

    • +2

Always arguments over size. Did she call you a liar again?

  • $650 after cashback, awesome deal! Just purchased.

    • You mean $450??

      • Suspect off website. 695+ delivery - minus $100 cashback

      • +1

$650 from website not eBay. Keep up.

  • How many people have a living room suitable for this big ass TV? Or people just lien big ass TV's?

    • +1

Jay rearrange something furniture. I’m sure there is a wall or room big enough. Viewing distance is another thing.

  • May be price error, wait for TGG gift card.

    • What's the usual value they give out?

      • $250 is the new standard

  • And my order from Saturday is being delivered today..

Ordered another from the site for delivery

Will see if it gets delivered..

  • ordered through the Good Guys website, lets see if it goes through.

  • Just bought one online from GG website. Saying in stock at Fyshwick and ready for pick up inn two hours. Just received my confirmation email. $695 ticket price. So $595 after cash back… Insane

Here are some discussions about TCL TVs, including this TCL 75" 75P8M TV

TCL 2019 Android TVs - TVs - Whirlpool Forums
    https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9j584n83

    <snip>
    The 85P8M, 75P8M, 70P8M, 65P8M, 60P8M, 55P8m 50P8M and 43P8M are the MT5658 Android chassis.
Version 546 is available here: https://support.tclelectronics.com.au/software-updates/

Download to a FAT32 USB drive, plug it into the USB service port, unplug the power, then plug the power back in while you hold down the power button (centre, bottom of TV) for 15 seconds.

Like others, I have found the device to be buggy, and the interface laggy/sluggish, but I don't believe this is an inherent flaw in Android, since Sony TVs don't have the same issues, and I think my P8M TV only has 1.5Gb of RAM. You might find the interface is slightly more responsive by enabling Android Developer Options, and turning off all animations.

Even though the interface and remote are lacking, the motion on the screen is acceptable – for example, when a football is kicked across the screen, it doesn't "skip" across the screen as it might on the cheapest of TVs.

The good news is that you can install all your favourite apps directly onto the device from the Play Store, eg Kayo, Netflix, ABC iView, 7Plus, 9Now, 10Play, SBS On Demand, Kodi.
    <snip>

    • I have last years 55P6US. With the lastest firmware update its much more stable and supports the new Android interface. Suspect this should have a slightly better CPU so should work fine.

  • You need the product bar code and reciept to request cash back before 10th Nov.

Hope it gets delivered before that

    • +6

You don't need it delivered by 10 November to claim. You need to claim within 21 days post 10 November purchase.

Purchase any of the following participating TCL UHD TVs between 1st October 2019 - 10th November 2019…

Claims must be received within 21 days from the date of purchase, as shown on the receipt in order to be eligible

      • Reckon we can claim on cancelled order?

        • +2

          Need serial

  • +4

Those buying on TGG site don't forget cashback 2.5% SB or 2.2% CR.

    • +4
