$556 for a 75" UHD TV… what a time to be alive. Even if the PQ is rubbish, it's still a 75" screen.

    •

Right? Can't imagine it being any cheaper on Black Friday

    • +6 votes

I bought one earlier in the year at twice this price and have no regrets (other than I could have bought 2 now for same price). If you fiddle with the picture settings it looks amazing. Looks good out the box. But can be improved to your own personal taste

I had to talk myself out of buying a second one. Anyone who got it at this price has done very well for themselves. I felt like I had done so when I got mine.

    •

so this has roku tv and android OS built in?

    •

I truely hope https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/489926 dude bought one of them for spares !!!

      •

Same here !!! $100 cashback will pay that off :)

      •

same. I can't ignore this price even with delivery fee.

Oh, we're not able to claim the cashback. Estimated delivery is Wednesday 13 Nov 2019(cashback promotion finish 10/11).
        Hope they deliver earlier.

        • +2 votes

I could be wrong but I thought you just had to buy it within that period. They usually give you a longer period to make the claim.

Same price on TGG website but surely a pricing error. This has the XB1X fiasco written all over it.

  •

Also currently a $100 cashback offer

  •

    Temptation so high….

    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/tcl-p8m-series

    •

A couple of those reviewers even mention $500-$600 purchase price

      • +6 votes

        those are for 55"

      •

        Smaller sizes though I think.

    • +2 votes

After purchasing a 65P8S recently, no way would I buy this. The quality could only be worse on a bigger model

  • +2 votes

must be a price error the 65" costs more

  •

    Any stores with stock?

    •

ebay Store doesnt give click & collect option but the goodguys website does.

      •

Thanks, but I guess then you loose the 20% eBay code?

        • +1 vote

You are ~$85 better off with ebay code

  • +22 votes

    Bought, dunno how to feel

    I think i have a problem

    • +9 votes

      You're not alone

      •

See i can give this to whole family as christmas present only thing that bothers me is i usually buy decent brand tvs (samsung, now sony)

Anyway i think for sure it will be cancelled

Will replace a 51” plasma so still decent upgrade if it does work out

        • +2 votes

That plasma will have way better picture quality

  •

wow, $464 cheaper than a day before https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/493616

  •

Used some eBay gift cards to buy…I hope they honour but if how does refunds work on vouchers?

    • +2 votes

They get refunded to the same vouchers, so don't lose them.

      •

But eBay usually saves them so u automatically see them upon check out in the future. I was worried too by this recently but was pleasantly surprised how it worked out.

      YIKES

      •

Which points made you Yikes in particular?

    • +2 votes

I am in the same boat as these people. https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/tcl-australia. I am on my second faulty unit and The Good Guys won't refund it, so I am fighting with them currently. I got the well known "it's not our problem" from GG and direct lies about consumer law. First unit had dead pixels, second unit has display issues with random colours on the screen. Can't recommend TCL or The Good Guys.

I wish all purchasing here the best of luck!

      •

        Was this a P8M?

        •

Correct, P8M. After a lifetime of expensive Sony tvs and 0 issues, I thought I would try a cheaper panel. I wish I hadn't.

Just put a PayPal dispute, easy

        •

Unfortunately this one was not a PayPal purchase.

    •

YIKES. Latest firmware cannot and will not fix the faulty hardware on this unit

Was too slow had one in my cart on the gg website but they shut it down

    • +1 vote

that's weird, mine managed to get through, few seconds ago.

  • +1 vote

Still in stock at some stores at $695 on GG website

    Edit: eg. Geelong, Ballarat

  •

    Annnnnnnd they gone.

  • +4 votes

Expecting a refund email soon. Bought one anyway!

  •

Showing as $1275 on this page when you sort low to high, but without sorting its $695. https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/televisions/ultra-hd-tvs/ultr...

    •

Wrong it says $695. Maybe they just changed it? Good sign though!

    •

Clicking through it shows the discounted price. Tried with a few others. Strange thing is the 65 model shows up at 200 more than the advertised on that link. Might be something wrong, but it is the advertised and cart price, so should still be okay. Someone will be having a very somber “please explain” tomorrow morning no doubt.

  • +1 vote

still can check out at $695… use this link https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/tcl-75-inches-p8m-4k-uhd-andr...

  •

bought one on the tgg website. $750 including delivery. Thanks for the post.

    •

      Another Perth ozbargainer?

  • +6 votes

Good Guys are not like Bunnings, they'll cancel orders within 1-2 days. I remember a few possible price errors like this getting cancelled pretty fast in the past by them.

However, I hope they don't cancel it and some of you got a really nice Christmas present ready or replacement TV.

  • +11 votes

Wife last week: need to slowdown our credit card purchase, budget is tight

Me today: bought a $750 tv

    Thanks OzB :')

  • +5 votes

Must say I was tempted but reports from owners are very bad, rebooting, slow screens, not powering on after several days.. even though the price is great, it's still a lot of money for a lemon..

  • +1 vote

Ordered one as a house-warming gift to my sister.

  • -1 vote

    Damn. Missed out.

    •

still available online (on the good guys page) for 595.

      •

Not anymore.. I JUST managed to get one..
