    what do people do with outdoor security cameras and their power requirements ? Do they call a sparkie to run and extra power point in the roof ?

    That $48 outdoor wifi camera could potentially cost $248.

      Yeah or run the same cable and hardwire it. Probably more useful to get an external power point installed on the wall though. I bought a rechargeable battery camera from a previous JOOAN deal to get around the power requirements.

      We called a licensed security camera installer - they charged $100 per camera to install outdoors.

      Each camera had a power adaptor but the installer ended up using PoE and running network cable through the roof (instead of the power adaptor).

        thats $100 per camera. I assumed you would had at least 6 to obtain that price ? If I were to call a sparkie to install a powerpoint or even poe for one camera, I wouldnt see much change from $200.

    Just wondering if you knew what cameras would be comparable to the $99 Coccoon 1080p outdoor battery cameras that Aldi are selling? Whether you have something that is better for cheaper, or something that is more usable? For instance, battery powered wifi cameras that are able to record to a PVR, or similar device rather than recording to an inbuilt SD card? As I’m imaging that if the data is stored on the camera than all one would need to do is just take the camera and all of the recordings cannot then be recovered?
