The other gotcha was once the “deal” was over you had to be very vigilant about the ongoing rate.if you were lazy it could cost big time.
The WA government regulates the supply charges so that you can compare discounts across providers. the only difference you need to check is account service fee which will differ from providers.
Is this a good deal compared to other providers?
I believe so. They are trying to capture WA market share at the moment. I was on 43% and was countered 45% and re-countered to 50% till the previous provider can no longer match and gave up.

As you say, daily supply charges and gas usage charges are virtually the same for all suppliers. Account fee is virtually the same too, except Origin which has zero account fee.
After 12 months, if AGL is below 35-40% discount, you're getting ripped.
nice, i just got matched with kleenheat to 45% the other week. most providers that called were only offering 40% unless you pushed them, hilarious!
Just switched from Alinta's 30% to Kleenheat's 38% + 10000 flybuys in May. can i just keep swtiching between suppliers to collect bonus points?

The AGL reward program is quite good too. I will probably go back to this mob before the end of the year.

A bit confused with the set and forget plan and this Savers plan.
Does that mean that for the AGL savers plan that I have to pay manually for each bill? (compare to set and forget plan)
There's direct debit. No need manual
The bonus flybuys only come with a new account. Use a different flybuys account to get the points.
So glad they got rid of the bs 'discounts' in VIC. Just confuses everyone and people end up getting ripped off because of the difficulty in comparing.
