  • Great stocking fillers to go with Ferraris I am usually gifting.

  • +1

Must be a price error, hopefully they honor the deal

  • +1

That RRP is a joke. Checking carsales, the 430s are going for $90k and thats with no negotiating.

    • RRP for 430i M Sport is $82,500, so $90k is too much.

  • Any deals on X5? Thanks

  • RRP for 430i M Sport = $82,500.
    RRP for 530i M Sport = $109,990.

    • That's with 0 extras. Adding innovations package, metallic paint, sunroof, Napa leather, premium sound etc. adds $1000s

      • +1

RRP does not mean Drive Away (in this case). Stamp duty and LCT (Luxury Car Tax for those not fortunate enough to buy these kind of cars) add significantly to the price.

        • +1

          RRP includes luxury car tax.

          • +1

@AussieZed: You are right. I stand corrected. On road costs are registration, CTP and stamp duty.

      • And how many extras does your $79,888 530i have?

  • Does this stack with cashrewards?

  • GOT ONE. THANKS OP

  • +1

don't be cucked by any Westpac graduate investment analysts people! Keep up

  • These cars are demo cars which are meant to be cheaper than brand new

    • Nope, brand new unregistered vehicles

      • When I called the stealership, they told me they were demo's?

  • +1

Investment. Buy low sell high. Ka-Ching.

You're calling out Mercedes???? LOL! lamest joke in history. Calling out literally Gods of auto moto industry. What a joke and stupidity, by the way, people in Mercedeses don't die, they die in imitators cars.

M Sport package is to M5, as A200 AMG is to A45.

  • oh dam these are actually great deals.

  • I’ll have 5 investments please.

  • with 150 upvotes, surprised this is still in stock :)

    • Any sucker who paid RRP will probably never be on ozb.

  • +1

Imagine that one sucker who paid RRP for this… ouch!

  • Pretty cheap. Might get a few and sell them on ebay at rrp.

The last time someone posted a 5 series deal in Melbourne - my employer bought two. It was time to replace our 5 series fleet anyways.

Just sent it to him for our QLD fleet (we're a fleet buyer)

    • +1

Where do you work that gives 5ers as company cards?!?!

      • +1

We're accident replacement vehicles provider for the high end market.
The cars are actually for clients that have been involved in accidents.

        • +1

          Ahhhh. That's really cool

          • +1

@WhatWouldBiggieDo: Even with our fleet buying. Them prices the OP posted are quite awesome. Again, last time someone posted the Melb deal, we ended up buying two. Boss is now thinking about these two.

      • Qantas/Emirate business class offer free rides to/from airport in 5 series or eqv.

  • That's actually a cracking price for the touring.

2L towing around 1.5TO?Think I will stick with the S3 thanks

  • As far as investments go, i'd sleep easy in the interior of one of these BMs over the interior of say Sydney Opal Tower anyday of the week. Cracking price indeed!

  • Damn just bought it last week!
Buy another, return with old receipt?

  • Surely one can make a few bucks buying it and immediately put it on carsales?

    • +3

Do it! And stop calling me Shirley 😜

Better to spend 73k on a Model 3 and the left over on a 13kw solar system. Then just sit back and enjoy never paying for petrol or electricity again.

    • +2

The Model 3 is a much smaller car than a 5 series. It’s not really compatible.

  • +2

    Any 20% off promo code?

    • just wait 6 months

  • Funny comparing this to other more affordable deals, this gets a huge amount of +ve votes but not a single person buying…yet.

    • Tried it a bait car : (

  • +1

I'm actually genuinely interested. The two in stock are DEMO's and they are 2018 build year. APparently the dealer was able to buy a large batch of 5 series from BMW Aus at a good price and then move them a little more cheaply.

When I first saw 530i I thought this was a bargain. The 30 in 530 used to mean 3litre 6 cylinder, but this is only a 2litre 4cyl.
Poo yuck, 4 cylinders is for children and women…

Benz C-Class C200 is now a 1.5L, pay more get less. However its "Mercedes the Gods of auto moto industry"….

      • +2

I love the god of auto moto industry part. Is this the new meme to replace the high yield investment meme?

      • That's a bad joke. The C300 is really the old C200.

  • Does it come with a full tank of fuel?

    • What about mats??

      • +1

They are options, the dealer will be nice and included for "free" .

  • Buy now or wait until black friday?

  • Any deals on roadside assistance to complement owning a BMW?

  • Isn't there a facelifted (LCI) version now? Is this it or the previous model?

  • +2

All jokes aside, (and many are getting so old/boring) this is great price assuming it's correct.

I can't afford it, but if you can, and it's what you want, why not?

  • almost feel bad for resellers.

  • -2

Can I get price beat at Officeworks?

  • 4-cylinder (1.999 cc) on BMW5 is not much power in a long run

    • +3

It has a turbo, and its 185kw is on bar with the previous 6 cylinders NA 530i with has 190kw. 2.0T torque is better and has better 0-100. Just missing some smoothness of the classic straight 6 NA.

  • Good price if you want to buy one! 30% off is a great deal!

  • All jokes aside, pretty decent discount for a new car, industry must be down in the dumps. Friends recently purchased a Lexus discounted from $55k down to $40K after some negotiating. I've never been able to get more than 12% discounted myself.

  • -2

    Any cashback?

    • On Aliexpress it's $3.50

  • Are the new models due out soon ? Why so cheap ?

    • Yes

  • +1

$85k for brand new 530i 12 months ago. Seems about right. Not sure if anyone ever paid more than $90k for this.

    • Interesting…. I thought maybe one of these might come down to 95-100 drive away. Did you buy one and was that driveaway?

      • Someone in the family did. I havent directly owned a european car for 4 years and abit now. Just been helping direct family purchase theirs.

I suppose the inflated RRP gives the feel good factor for the person that drives it as well the one "negotiated" for the deal.

  • Prefer a Tesla Model 3 at this price point!

    • +4

Sure if you want to beta test products for Tesla.

      • -1

Tesla is a 3rd largest car company in the world by market capitalisation, and has been building mass produced cars (excluding the original roadster) since 2012. They're making over 400k cars a year annualised and the quality is excellent these days. The days of panel gaps and bad paint are over. The software is better than anything else on the market (ICE or EV), so is the automation, and the EV powertrain and battery BMS is 5 years ahead of most of the market. If you buy an EV from any other manufacturer, you're buying a beta or an alpha build. Nissan still doesn't have a proper BMS, Jaguar are using prism cells and can't reach claimed charge rates, Audi and Merc are using ICE chassis with an electric drivetrain stuck in it, and Porsche are have sacrificed range and efficiency to get a fast charging rate (and by doing so, despite the Taycan being able to charge at 270kw, it charges slower than a Model 3 at 250kw, in terms of km/minute. A lot slower).

        • -2

Tesla is yet to make a profit. I thought i would put it out there.

          • -1

            @harryzee: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/23/business/tesla-earnings.h…

You might want to check your facts before posting bullshit. Tesla made a profit last quarter, and previously they've made profits in two quarters just to prove they can. The non profitable quarters prior to this one are as a result of the rapid expansion of the business. The profit made in the latest quarter was despite the fact that they are rapidly expanding their operations and have built a huge factory in China, (which started mass production today).

@[Deactivated]: Take a Prozac and go to bed. Such anger. I feel better driving a diesel because of you . Cheers

              • @harryzee: Pretty pathetic response. The correct answer is: Sorry, I was mistaken.

                • @[Deactivated]: Sorry, he was mistaken.

                • -1

@[Deactivated]: Not as pathetic as your response to my comment.I see you are a Tesla fan boy. You should go to anger management classes today. I guess you were the school bully.

                  • @harryzee: Giving you facts and telling the truth is pathetic?

                    • @[Deactivated]: just ignore people who cant take facts :)

                      • +1

@demoiree: Yeah you tell him demoiree. Fist profit in so many years. Well done. Now the real manufacturers are having a crack at electric say goodbye. Let me go recycle some lithium batteries. Too hard. Straight to landfill. Heaps green

                        • @harryzee: The other manufacturers have all had a crack. Audi, BMW, VW, Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche. They’ve each come up short. Not one of them can beat the range of a 2012 Tesla let alone the current models. The Taycan has almost half the range of current Model S (it’s so bad that Porsche only use WLTP range to hide the fact their EPA range is so bad).

Was going to grab two, after reading The Barefoot Investor on the bus to the dealer, I changed my mind! Need 4 instead!

  • More than 300 sold. Sale is up to more than 24 mils. Good job!

  • Solid Uber machine

  • 2L four cylinder with m sports package pretty typical price. m sports package is not a true m car, purely cosmetic.

    four cylinder……..

    • Yes, although you see amg a45 has 4 yoinked turbo but 460hp

Mostly about tuning engine in my opinion

E.g. Kia stinger has v6 twin turbo (hp is not too high like 480 or something

  • Dear all ozbargainers, thank you for your attention
    Please don’t neg me

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought and I stacked with the Citi bank bonus points credit card. The ceramic pro paint protection package is killer expensive though. They did the hard sell and i didn’t want to look cheap, but now I’m regretting adding it. Is there a way to cancel the paint protection?

    Bahahaha

Might wait for Black Friday sale so I can buy 5

  • Looks like a pretty fancy stranded liability

  • I wonder if they do P plater discounts if I get this for my daughter?

To be fair, if you're in the market for a luxury wagon, this is a great deal.

  • Bought 2, now I need a licence, any deals on car instructors?

    • Drive 1, keep the other for parts.
