Commonwealth Bank - Get $5 for Trying Apple Pay

130

Got an email from CBA today.

Make your first Apple Pay transaction with your CommBank debit card by 3 December 2019 and we’ll put $5 into your account by 20 December 2019. So you can treat yourself to something extra, like a coffee.

Might be super limited to people like me who have yet to make their first CBA tap.

Things you should know:
1Conditions of $5 cashback offer: This cashback offer is only available to customers who receive this communication directly from CommBank. They will receive a $5AUD credit for making their first Apple Pay purchase between 13 November and 3 December 2019 inclusive using any of their personal CommBank debit cards (business, corporate and credit cards are ineligible for this offer). They will be ineligible to receive this offer if the transaction account linked to their CommBank debit card is closed at the time of the cashback fulfilment. This offer is limited to one $5AUD cashback per customer. Eligible customers will receive the cashback into the transaction account linked to their debit card by 20 December 2019, and it will appear on their statement as APPLEPAY5.

Same, no love for Android, as usual…

I bet all the CBA devs have Android too.

Work for a large multinational company and the intern asked if anyone had an Apple charger in the dev team. Literally no one does.

I don't think he will fit in 😂

CommBank had PayPass with NFC on android for years before Apple Pay.

When Apple Pay first came out, CBA point blank refused to integrate it.

Now they're literally paying you to use it… the irony.

Ahhh too little too late CBA. Some of us remember how hard you fought against Apple Pay. That, and your Diamond Credit Card is a worthless pile of crap… I get if free and still I find more value in other banks offerings.

  • $5? make it $50
