What grade Wagyu are we talking?

    •

It claims 6+ multiple times in the text?

      •

Is that higher than grade 6? Because between 6 to 9 there is a huge price difference.

6+ means it is guaranteed to be a score of 6 or above. If the abattoir didn’t have an order for mb score of 7 for example, they will downgrade it to the next grade.. That’s how my workplace does it anyway.

Based on the picture it's absolute deceitful and disgraceful to even associate with the word wagyu.

Wagyu is pretty broad.. like the word 'car', lots of different types :)

      What nonsense.

You're thinking of Japanese A5 Wagyu you see in youtube videos.

Wagyu is just the Japanese breed of cow. The steak that it produces varies greatly.

$148/KG RRP is so inflated - go to an independent butcher and you can get MS9 Sher Wagyu Porterhouse or Scotch for 90-110/KG.

You could almost get Sher Wagyu/Mayura Station full bloody MS9+ For $148/KG.

    6+ should be $70/KG @ standard prices.

Feel free to PM me if you need a contact for above in Melbourne - they will also do free delivery for orders over $100-150 depending on butcher.

The website doesn't even say it is "Kobe" in the description. Just information about the company that makes it and that they are known for their Kobe. This seems highly suspicious. Probably not sourced from Japan. Probably just Kobe Breed mixed with australian. Barely meets the definition of Wagyu.
