Hi Everyone,

A big thank you to you all for supporting our business. Our aim is to continuously provide the best products at bargain prices with supreme service and the lowest margins.

In the beginning we brought you Xiaomi vacuum cleaners 1st Generation at a great price and everyone in this community loves them. We have still managed to maintain very competitive pricing despite the weak Australian currency at the moment.

Customers also love the Xiaomi Roborock S5 when we offer it at a competitive price, but the manufacturer now wants to sell it at a higher price which is not our business proposition and not Xiaomi's strategy.

Therefore, we started extensive testing of robot vacuum cleaners on the market from Jan 2019 and we were not satisfied until we discovered the 360 S7 robot vacuum.

I have been testing it for half a year and 360 have continuously updated its firmware to make the vacuum cleaner more and more intelligent. Smart Room Maps, Mop off-limit Areas and the Smart Schedule Cleaning function bring the robot vacuum to higher intelligence level than its competitors. Smart SLAM algorithm with Auto pilot tech further improve the cleaning efficiency.

We also have finished Australian compliance testing, meaning this Australian Version complies with all Australian standards.

How easy are replacement parts to come by, and at what comparative cost?

Are these replacement parts exactly the same as on the original unit? The reason why I'm asking is because I have replaced the original side brush with the one I bought on eBay and it broke within a few cycles. Replaced again and it broke again. I didn't bother to replace anymore and my vacuum cleaner has no side brush now. The original brush never broke - it was replaced only because it was due to be replaced.

The replacement filter and the main brush was fine. It was only the replacement side brush breaking so easily.

I have the S5 bought from you guys. Happy so far 👍🏽

Hi OP, how does it compare to the Xiaomi Mi 2 in 1 Sweeping/Mopping (the black one)?

  • +2 votes

Ok Guys so heres my takeaway:

Proud owner of the original Xiaomi Robovac for a few years and had been keeping my eye out for one that Vacs and Mops.

When Gearbite had the Xiaomi 2 in 1 vac I jumped on it as it ticked all the boxes for me so went on to sell my old machine to buy it. After having 2 replacement units I came to realise that the Xiaomi I once knew and loved have evolved into a complete pile of $h!t. Gearbite were really good about it all and refunded me my coin.

Then I came across this puppy so I thought i'd give it a crack. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and so far it is ticking all the boxes. Suction is great, app is great, return to base function is fault free in my opinion (even if you don't start it from its origin).

The mop is ok. But I would say is no different to any of the other 'mops' out there where it's basically more for maintenance of the floor than anything else. Although I must say adding vinegar to the attachment makes a world of difference IMO.

Overall takeaway? Very happy with my purchase and mostly in part with the awesome customer service Gearbite had provided.

For those who aren't convinced of the above then I suggest taking advantage of the 60 day risk free period they offer.

They should make a non-mop cheaper version, like the S5

Does anyone know who can repair Xiaomi vacuum in Sydney without charging fortune? My version 1 vacuum has stopped moving, even when I try to navigate it via remote app it doesn't work

    Hey rep, I am curious

We also have finished Australian compliance testing, meaning this Australian Version complies with all Australian standards.

What are the Australian standards for such devices ? Is there somewhere I can look this info up ?

  •

Hi Rep, does the intelligent room identification recognise if I move it upstairs?

  •

We're looking at a second unit (in addition to our Xiaomi Gen 1) as the 1st Gen can't climb the ~2cm step into one of bathroom:

    Xiaomi Gen 1 - 1.5cm climb
    Xiaomi Gen 2 - 2.0cm climb
360 S7 - 2.0cm climb - however there is no mention of this on their official website, hmmmm….

Does anyone know of any others that can climb > 2.0cm?

    Cheers.

  •

    Hi Rep,

New to robot vacuums, how does the mopping feature work? Can you just fill up the tank and set it on the app to have it mop at a later date? OR does it have to mop immediately once you fill up the water tank?

On the ebay listing it mentions that when the water tank is installed it wont mop off limit areas. Does that mean I can't have it set to vacuum and mop tiles but vacuum carpet only with the water tank installed?

    Thanks.

    •

For mopping function, i would suggest you put the water tank and do the mopping, if you open quiet mode or Mop only, it would be no much noisy. You can do schedule mopping if you like but personally I did not do that.

I can't decide what vacuum I want. I live in a smallish one bedroom apartment with carpet in the bedroom and timber floors in the rest of the apartment.

I either get the Dreame and just do it myself, or get a robot and not worry about it, but there seems to be such vast differences in the robot models. Now this one is $600.

What do I do OZB? Or do I just buy a kmart cord one?

    • +2 votes

I'd say Dreame, cordless is just so convenient. Only one small room has carpet so you probably don't need the carpet head.

  •

does this come with Aussie plug?

  •

How do most people’s pets react to these things? I have two very active and curious cats. Are they likely to have any issues with these?

    •

Only possible issue I can think of is the power cords are potential chew toys.

    • +1 vote

Pets are a no-no. If the cats, dogs or pigs get scared (just need to happen once) and poo on your carpet, you will need to replace the carpet due to massive smearing from the vacuum. Fish are ok. :)

      • +1 vote

If the fish are interacting with the vacuum cleaner your programming is very wrong. I don’t think my girls would crap themselves, I’m more worried with them trying to tap at it and hurting themselves. They are, fortunately, beyond the chew stage. We lost a few cables to “kittenhood”. .

    •

One of my dogs hates it and will run away whenever the robocleaner is working. The other doesn't care.

My cat generally sits on the bed when it's working and is used to it now.

    •

My dog runs from my robot vacuum every time it speaks. Other than that he doesn't really care and will even lie in front of it.

    •

My dog hates it with a passion and attacks it without mercy. Even when it’s off and sitting in the corner he attacks. So I have to cage it off.

  •

Thanks for doing the testing etc and thinking beyond Xiaomi.I agree that their pricing is becoming more greedy.

I think this model is just above the pain threshold for me to spring for it. $500 for the mop and $380 or so non-mop would be great prices. The durability of the product and company may be un-proven as yet.

I realise I am dreaming of the day the AusD improves.

    Good luck with your sales!

60 money back guarantee ? does this mean we pay for shipping back if not satisfied to get full refund or do you cover shipping fee back? and what is considered change of mind ? (not happy with performance ? )

    •

Dear OP (your response would be much appreciated on the above question) thanks :)

    • +1 vote

We will create return label in this case. You do not need to pay for the postage.

      •

great! also can i buy all accessories from your website ? and what about repairs ? where abouts in Melbourne can we get it done ? (for future references)

      • +1 vote

Wondering about the second part of @khoed792 question

What is considered change of mind?

Basically I'm very keen on a robotic vacuum to replace my handstick and plugin, although I have a lot of carpet 2 cats and a very long haired girlfriend :) I'm hoping this can take the daily vacuuming at least down to bi-weekly or less. I would love to try this but the cost is high and untested in my situation.

  •

Any idea if Google support will be getting added? (I see Alexa is included so far)

    • +1 vote

360 work on it, Hardware can support google home, they will update in the future once software is ready.

  •

Is the 360 S7 actually made by Xiaomi? Or a different company?
Are these units being sold from an Australian warehouse? Or will they be imported?

  • +1 vote

Thoughts on this one versus the s5 max, has that one been released yet ?

  •

I have the previous generation and it's worked pretty well on carpet.

However, on hardwood flooring I find that that little feeler thingy on the side seems to just flick off pieces of trash (paper etc) meaning it never gets vacuumed.
Once I remove that part it's much better at vacuuming and doesn't leave things behind. What is the purpose of that feeler??

    •

Technically this isn't the "next generation" you're thinking of, it's a different company that just so happened to name their product "S7". Completely coincidental I'm sure.

  •

    Any promotions on the S5?

  •

how long is this deal going for?

  •

OzB newb here, no cash back if a coupon code is used for eBay?

  •

I have the S5 that has some motherboard problem such that it intermittently won’t charge. Gearbite has been flawless in giving me a return label to send it back for repair. Can’t fault them yet. Gotta wait on the repair now but at least I know I have that warranty backup from these guys. Def recommend Gearbite. I’ll post back when I get it back, but other than that, the vacuum is awesome!

The vacuum is almost a year old.

  • +1 vote

It’s worth mentioning that this vac has collision detection. In other words it can see a wall or obstacle and when it approaches, rather than hitting it and moving around it, it sees it. Stops. And moves around. Nice little feature…

  •

Does this support mapping over multiple storeys? Or should I buy two? 🤔

  •

Is there anyway to buy this with aftetpay?
