Vitamin Water 500ml @ Coles Now Just 50 Cents! (Was $3.64)

770

As far as I know, the yellow and orange flavour bottles are 50c, not sure about the others.

Took a picture of the shelf area :P

I bought a few, expiry is in Nov 11.

This was taken at Coles, Carousel WA - should probably apply to other coles as well I presume…

Yeh I know it's not great for health but 50c is a steal!

Isdbeta - I'd remove all those negs against you if I could.

    • Recommended for what?

      • +7

Find a bottle and read the label :) They are actually quite humorous

THAT was the one I was thinking of…something's wrong when even I confuse vitamin waters…

  • +10

Yea I like the orange ones too. I like to pretend its healthier than drinking fanta.

  • +7

For all my googling, I can't figure out what you're doing with orange mineral water! =-]

  • Cheaper than mineral water.

Interesting article from Choice on 'vitamin drinks'
    http://www.choice.com.au/media-and-news/media-releases/2011%…

    Good bargain nonetheless.

    • Whoever believes that these drinks are a substitute to fruit or vegetables is a retard. The same goes for the people who think vitamin tablets are substitutes to fruit or vegetables. Fruits and vegetables have complex vitamins and nutrients that cannot be produced in a little tablet. I thought this article was going to claim that the vitamins weren't actually in the drink or were actually not substantial. If you drink Coke a lot, you're better off drinking these vitamin drinks because they have vitamins and it has less sugar, but the best solution is to eat your fruit and drink filtered tap water, which is healthier and cheaper. Turns out that the article is made for the ignorant McDonalds eating schmo.

it was way overpriced to begin with

  • Is drinking vitamin water better than plain water?

    • +4

actually no it wouldnt be, not this so called vitamin water

    • +12

No, normal water is the best fluid for your body.

        • +4

          Good for kids?! :|

          No

        • +9

All the artificial colours will keep the kids AND parents entertained….for hours on end, fun for the whole family?

        • +3

yanman - Perhaps you should neg the comment rather than the deal itself!

        • +4

          "good for kids" ?

the stuff that comes out of the tap in the kitchen is better for kids.

        • +8

@yanman That's not a reason to neg, we have junk food deals all the time.

        • You recon I can sue CocaCola coz they told me it's a healthy drink when I asked them what's good about the drink?!

        • ^trolling for sure

  • Gotta say this is cheap!!
What my business order from CocaCola is way more expensive than these~~~
RRP is like $3 or $3.50.

    • +2

You are still using coca cola, they are stupid, how much you buy 600ml and compare to shweppes 600ml. I kick coca cola out of my business and do business with shweppes. Even coca cola reps told me go to supermarkets to get coke can, because coca cola cannot beat supermarket price, guys see how powerful is supermarket they can even control coke pricing.

      • +2

I always knew the supermarkets were involved in price fixing in the blackmarket coke market :P

        • +1

Not only that, they also price fix the Coca-Cola black market ;)

      • +1

I have given up on Coke as well. They have become far too greedy. I refuse to pay more than 50cents a can when buying the blocks of Coke. I have moved to Pepsi now which you can frequently get a block of 24 cans for $9.

        • I am waiting for coke 600ml bottle to hit $2.00 or lower and buy all of them to sell in my shop, just to get coca cola reps attention, at the moment, $2.50 the lowest I can find, but who knows…

        • @fishandchips.

I can get it for just over $2.01/bottle (including GST)

Edit: Nvm. youre not in Brisbane.

        • @fishandchips,

Looks like you're getting ripped off by that rep. He's probably skimming too much commission.

  • +3

    u mean sugar water for 50c :P

  • +6

I thought yellow was just a colour, now it is also a flavour. What a crazy world.

  • Cordial is still cheaper. Just another sheeple product.

  • +3

Yanman what's with the neg? Last I checked this isn't a health food forum. I think this product being better for you than water is bs but its still a bargain

  • hahahaha…. it was 'on sale' a few weeks ago at half price and now at 50c looks like they cant even give it away!

god bless Choice…. i cant imagine what their article has done to these 'health water' sales figures :).

plus vote because 50c is cheap for bottled water- even though its crap i'd never buy.

  • +14

If only there was a system that delivered drinkable water to every house in every major area of Australia. Then we wouldn't have to choose between bottle water and bottled colour… Wait, what?

    • +1

      if only :)

      • +4

        Yeah, and pigs might walk.

    • +1

Except On the gold coast we can't afford to drink tap water!

      • +1

It's better than getting bashed/gunned down in the street on your way to the supermarket by drunk/angry wannabes wearing Ed Hardy shirts 2 sizes too small.

        • +3

You live near a pre-school too?!

  • +2

it is chemical water! dun drink it!!!

  • +4

Is it ironic that Fity Cent owns Vitamin water (or used to) and that it is being sold for 50 cents…. I guess that's what you call foresight :D

    • fiction. there's lots of varied stories about him owning from 10% to 100% of the business and selling to coke for a huge sum, but that's not the case. chinese whispers gone wild.

      • chinese whispers? Reminds me…I'm wondering how many chinese 'vitamins' are in this water!

    • +1

He stated expiry is Nov 2011.

      Edit: Or she. Sorry :p

      • LittleMiss… guessing its not a guy haha :P

  • +1

so yes we've all come to the conclusion that their advertising is full of it… but what I'd like to know is has anyone seen this deal anywhere else?

  • +1

I rekon 50 cents is probably their cost price. Imagine how much mark up they have on these Vitamin Water!

    • How about just drinking water from a tap its better for you and costs no where near as much!

  • Yay! Cordial!

  • I'm sad they discontinued their orange "vit C" line. I loved them :(

  • can any confirm buying it anywhere is Brissy? thanks :)

    • Definitely not in the Myer Centre Express, just checked.

      • They almost never have anything discounted in Coles Central stores anyway.

        • I thought I'd try anyway on my lunch break; they've surprised me before by having other bargains we've posted (eg the $10 Systema food storage bundles etc).

    • Nothing at coles Arana Hills

  • NSW - Rhodes anyone???

    • No original price!

  • Not in VIC

  • Available in all coles in NSW?

    • No not so far

        • +1

        • +2

What's this WA you speak of?

        • yeah

        • That place still exists?

  • +1

I prefer to drink tap water. These bottles contain nothing but colours.

  • +2

i can tell you they are still $3.64 at coles at castle hill in sydney.

  • Figtree coles has the citrus one for 50c the rest of the flavours were full price
